Glu today announced the availability of its Glyder 2 App on the App Store. In Glyder 2, players use iPhone or iPod touch to guide the game’s heroine Eryn, and her unique handmade glider, on a quest to explore and unlock new lands. Discovery Communications and Capcom Mobile today announced the availability of the Cash Cab game on the App Store. Based on the hit Discovery Channel game show series, the Cash Cab App for iPhone and iPod Touch features tons of questions, 21 New York City landmarks, the ability to play your own music in-game, and players can now post their favorite scores directly to Facebook. Additionally, question expansion packs are now available from within the App for near limitless replayability.
In the television show Cash Cab, contestants ride in the back seat of a New York City taxicab and are quizzed on general knowledge questions all the way to their destination. As the meter ticks, the questions get harder and the stakes get higher. Miss three questions and the Cash Cab pulls over and ejects the contestants onto the sidewalk, no matter where they are in the city.

Chillingo has announced that its underwater action-adventure game, Mission Deep Sea, is now available for iPhone and iPod touch from Apple’s iTunes App Store.
Developed by Hiccup Studios, Mission Deep Sea takes place within a 3D underwater world. The year is 2016, and gamers play the role of a soldier who has a synaptic link to a loggerhead sea turtle. PressOK Entertainment today launched updates for both the Free and Full versions of Finger Physics, an insanely addictive puzzle game that pits your fingers against the, (supposedly) infinite power of the laws of physics. Namco Bandai has unveiled another instalment in the classic Ridge Racer series.
According to Famitsu (as translated by Kotaku), this one is in development for the iPhone.
It's titled Ridge Racer: Accelerated and it's out later this month - though it's not clear whether that date applies globally or just to Japan. There's no news on a price yet, either.

You had to know this was coming. That Android 2.1 OS that's been circulating inside the Google's ultra-exclusive Nexus One has hit the internet, and thanks to some clever hackery, you can now theoretically put the update on your Droid handset. We say theoretically, of course, because it's not quite a perfect rip. DIY instructions were briefly posted on Sholes.info but have since been replaced with a curt advisory to wait for a ROM that properly preserves file system permissions, else risking some serious breaking. The original image file is still available, but don't say we didn't warn you. Separately and perhaps unrelated, a video has surfaced of the Nexus One's boot animation running on Droid -- feel free to enjoy that instead, after the break.

Konami has today released Wire Way for the iPhone and iPod touch. This platform game costs £2.99 Euro for the basic game, with additional stages available for just £1.19.
Starring an acrobatic hero called Wiley, the player is charged with helping him find the ‘Elan’ energy source he seeks. The Elan is spread across a series of hazard-laden stages, and Wiley swings from one taut wire to the next, as he locates the Elan icons and to the level end at the top of the screen. Control is simplicity itself, with the touch-screen system of the iPhone an iPod touch used to steer Wiley’s jumps, while the Elan icons temporarily endow him with faster speed and larger jump capabilities.
Additional game modes include ‘Flick Trials’ wherein the user must complete the stage in as few leaps as possible, and a ‘Strategery’ option where the player must edit the level to reach the exit. The expansion pack also adds an extra 16 stages to the basic game, and eight new Flick Trial and Strategy levels.
