Vir2L Studios is set to bring Elder Scrolls Travels: Shadowkey to the N-Gage mobile gaming platform. The Elder Scrolls series was originally created by Bethesda Softwarks and has been a staple of the RPG genre for over ten years. Creators of the Morrowind games are on hand to guide Vir2L Studios in the development of the game.
Elder Scrolls Travels: Shadowkey will be a 3D adventure set in the Elder Scrolls world. The gamer will be able to explore ancient temples, marauders hide-outs and dark caverns while slogging over treacherous terrain. The game will feature over 50 different types of creatures and NPC's to fight during your quest to recover the Shadowkeys. Gamers can chose amongst a wide variety of character classes that include the barbarian, knight, assassin, battlemage, rogue, nightblade, sorcerer, spellsword and thief.
Elder Scrolls Travels: Shadowkey will also feature a robust multiplayer component. Gamers can undertake their quest with up to four friends via Bluetooth wireless technology. Players can also use the online capability of the game to download rankings, content upgrades and interact with communities on N-Gage Arena.
Elder Scrolls Travels: Shadowkey will be available only on the N-Gage platform with an expected ship date in Q4 2004.

PicodriveS60 is a genesis emulator for S60 phones, and you will be able to find it here (about 40 ko only) :
http://my-symbian.com/7650/download/...name=PicoDrive
I have done a quick test for this very promising emulator.
Of course, it's not perfect (the N-Gage will reboot -without asking activation codes though- when you will try to launch another game after playing one, you can't press two keys at the same time (sad for te jumps in platforms games or games using diagonals), there is no sound and the savegames don't seem to be *included yet. But it is really VERY promising, just try it and there is no doubt that you will agrre with me.
I have also tested some games :
Games working : QuackShot (Raahh, wonderful graphics - too bad it isn't playable because of the only-one-key-at-a-time ), Revenge of Shinobi, Shinobi3, Marble Madness, Altered Beast, Gynoug, Streets of Rage and Phantasy Star 2 (but the compression is too bad for the fonts used, so it's quite hard to read the texts, and furthermore the saves don't work).
Games that stop after title screen : Phantasy Star 3, ThunderForce 3.
Games that don't work at all : Shining Force
I will let you test other games
Enjoy.

Not only is the UK hopefully going to see three games all launched in one week (Sims, Ashen & Tiger), but it looks like Nokia are trying to maintain the May deadline for the QD by trying to launch it by the end of this week.

Got this email , you may all be interested
We're looking for beta testers for our upcoming release.
Testers will need one of the following devices: Nokia 3650, 7650 or N-Gage. (Testing for other phone models won't begin until after
these versions are released)
Also, testers should enjoy 3D FPS games (or at least enjoy finding bugs in them :-), and hopefully have a friend or two that also
have one of the required devices (MultiPlayer).
Preference is given to people in/around/close to Los Angeles, although other areas will be considered as well.
Testers must also agree not to disclose / release screenshots until public release and (obviously) not let their friend(s) copy the
software, etc.
Interested people can EMail game@bobbeetec.com with their Name, City, State, etc. (as applicable), and the model of their phone.
We'll contact the testers selected for further info and arrangements.
Thanks,
Rand.
Cool stuff eh, get emailing if your interested
