To celebrate the impending success of its Kickstarter-funded platformerShantae: Half-Genie Hero, WayForward has released its iOS predecessor gameShantae: Risky's Revenge as a free download in the iTunes App Store for a limited time.
Following up on its debut for DSiWare in 2011, Risky's Revenge originally hit the App Store as a free trial download, with the full game locked behind an in-app purchase. WayForward has since removed this restriction, and the App Store download now includes the full version of the game.
The iOS version of Risky's Revenge has also been updated with a new optional costume, along with the ability to skip cutscenes. WayForward notes that the Dancer costume has "double the magic power, but half the defense" of Shantae's regular outfit, making it an ideal fit for speedrunners.
Currently, the Kickstarter project for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero has earned over $395,000 toward its funding goal of $400,000. Developed in collaboration withMighty No. 9 developer Inti Creates, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is set to launch for the Wii U, PlayStation 3, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC platforms in 2014.

Android owners are being warned that imitations of Rockstar's iFruit app containing malware have made their way onto the Google Play store.
iFruit is a companion app for Grand Theft Auto V, currently available on iOS devices. The app allows users to customise their cars, create license plates for GTA 5's story campaign, as well as teach Chop the dog new tricks.
The real iFruit app is currently only available on iOS devicesThe app is currently only available for iOS devices, and Rockstar says versions for Android (via Google Play), Windows Phone, PlayStation Mobile and Vita are on the way soon.
Despite this, at least two apps have surfaced on the Google Play Store that use the same icon as iFruit in an attempt to mimic the real thing. Comments from angered users suggest these apps are fake, inoperable, and in some cases are suspected malware.
Android owners are advised to keep checking CVG or Rockstar's own news feeds for further details on the real app's release on Android.
Meanwhile, Rockstar continues to resolve issues with the iFruit app, after users reported problems logging in.
CVG's GTA V review describes the crime-opus as "sprawling, thrilling and beautiful", declaring it "the best Grand Theft Auto yet".

As has become the norm, Sprint's primary differentiator is its "unlimited data for life" policy affixed to new flagships. Granted, the carrier isn't promising that the amount it charges for said data will remain the same for life, but at least you'll have the option to pony up for it. Following the footsteps of AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, Sprint has announced that its version of the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear watch will arrive on shelves October 4th. The former will cost $349.99 on a two-year contract (a full $50 more than most of its rivals), while the latter will go for $299.99 outright. Outside of being compatible with Sprint's LTE airwaves and including a bit of carrier-branded bloatware, the handset itself will be the same one that we've previewed extensively.

"A consortium led by financial-holding company Fairfax Financial has agreed to acquire BlackBerry for $4.7 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, Fairfax Financial will acquire every BlackBerry stock-share it doesn't already own. Further details are pending, including future management structure and whether BlackBerry will continue with its stated intent to lay off thousands of employees over the next few months. 'The Special Committee is seeking the best available outcome for the Company's constituents, including for shareholders,' Barbara Stymiest, chair of BlackBerry's Board of Directors, wrote in a statement. 'Importantly, the go-shop process provides an opportunity to determine if there are alternatives superior to the present proposal from the Fairfax consortium.' A special committee formed by BlackBerry's Board of Directors had spent the past few weeks looking for a potential acquirer. BlackBerry has seen its market-share crumble as businesses and consumers embrace rivals such as Apple's iPhone and Google Android devices.

From being constantly connected, to the birth of the selfie, here is a selection of ways that the iPhone has molded our day-to-day way of life.
The iPhone has altered the way we live our lives, andNetVoucherCodes.co.uk has pulled together some of the main ways it has done so.
1. There’s an app for that: The Oxford English Dictionary defines an application as ‘a formal request to an authority’ – nowadays however it means something completely different to us.
Since the introduction of the app back in 2007, around 900,000 have become available on the App Store. With apps for firing angry birds at pigs to professional photography applications, there is literally an app for everything.
2. We are all constantly contactable: If you enjoy a nice bit of alone time but cannot bring yourself to turn off your phone, then your out of luck.
Whether your sitting in the office, or in the middle of nowhere, people can always get hold of us with emails, social media, text or obviously calls. Depending on signal that is.
3. Everyone is a director: We can now take videos of everything. No matter what’s happening or if we’ve left our filming team at home, we can now capture every aspect of life.
Some of the most significant events that have been caught on our phones to date are the London Riots, the chemical attacks in Syria and of course the endless attempts to reenact Miley Cyrus’ twerking on Vine.
4. We are always in contact with each other: With apps such as Snapchat and WhatsApp, we are always receiving and sending pics or messages.
Now every aspect of our lives is shared, from what we are having for lunch or the first beer of the evening, to exactly where we are on our hols.
5. The birth of the selfie: This phenomenon is something you either love or hate. Mainly hate.
The duck face, the sad face, the look where I am face, selfies now plague our photo albums.Although, no matter how much we roll our eyes you know we have all done it, and we’ll do it again goddammit.
6. Buying music on the go and listening to it straight away: If we hear a tune on the radio that we like, we don’t have to wait to get a spare five minutes to pop down the local record store.
Music is instantly available to buy and listen to immediately, fulfilling our musical desires, but emptying our bank accounts.
7. QR codes: These funny little squares are like doorways to other worlds, or websites to be more specific.
Even though they are dying out, QR codes are still an impressive and useful little tool.
8. Siri: It may not be as useful as it was meant to be, and it does get annoying when Siri keeps apologising for not understanding what you asked, but having a talking phone is simply cool.
9. Debating has become boring: Everyone loves a good old debate or 'pub' argument. These conversations used to go on for hours, however with our phone we can now pop on the internet and settle any disagreement within seconds. Or can you?
Yup, it says here on my phone that you can...
10. All the Internet, all the time: The IDC has revealed that the average smartphone user checks Facebook around 14 times a day, and that's without all the other online activies we find ourselves doing.
News is delivered straight to our mobile, we shop through our mobile, we entertain ourselves with our mobile. The World Wide Web is wholly available to is on our mobile. We are now constantly surfing, whether we like it or not.

The new SDK version 6.4 will enable cross-platform capabilities allowing wider reach to consumers.
Marmalade announced today that its new software development kit (SDK) version 6.4 will feature support for the upcoming Tizen platform planned for release later in the year.
Upon downloading the new SDK, developers will get native access to Tizen enabling them to port existing and new games made with Marmalade straight to the new platform before launch.
This means that their apps will be available for download as soon as the crowds start using the Tizen ecosystem.
Harvey Elliott, CEO of Marmalade said: “Since we announced our intention to support Tizen in July we’ve had lots of interest from our developer community.
“We’re very excited to be able to release support now so that our community can dive into the new technology and taking early advantage of the platform’s potential reach.”
Developers will now be able to access consumer markets previously unavailable to them, increasing traffic and user numbers with the cross-platform capabilities using one code base.
Peter Molyneux’s 22 Cans – who gave a speech at the ME Top 50 Mobile innovators event – recently made use of Marmalade’s cross-platform tools to develop Godus.

But we already knew that didn’t we? Oh, it appears some of us didn’t.
Following a fake advert claiming that Apple’s new iOS7 made your device waterproof; some owners proceeded in attempting to teach their phones to swim.
Unsurprisingly resulting in a number of broken iPhones and no doubt some broken spirits.
The ad - which circulated on Twitter - got the trolls well and truly trolling with follow up tweets, pics and videos allegedly showing a surviving iPhone after it had been dunked.
It stated that iOS7 would enable the phone to detect a sudden change in thermo-distribution with the touch sensitive screen and home button.
Also saying that a smart-switch inside the device would shut off the power supply and corresponding components, preventing any damage to your iPhone’s circuitry.
We are not going to poke fun at those who tested this, as why not – now the rest of us are certain it’s not true.
But come on.

Microsoft has released the latest version of Internet Explorer, saying that the browser is “30% faster” than competitors.
Detailing the Release Preview of IE11 on the IEBLog, Microsoft says that the boost in speed is due to “additional performance tuning so that real-world sites download and display fast and are highly responsive and interactive.”
To give users their own chance to prove IE11’s speed, Microsoft have released a test demo inspired by International Talk Like a Pirate Day, ‘PirateMarrrk’.
The blog explains that “on Windows 7, IE11 Release Preview is 9% faster than IE10, which is a 5% improvement from the IE11 Developer Preview, and over 30% faster than the nearest competitive browser.”
Alongside the performance enhancements in IE11 are new features, such as customisable Closed Captioning, and tools for web developers such as a console, debugger, DOM explorer and memory tool, which can identify the sourceof memory leaks.
The release of IE11 comes as a zero-day flaw affecting all versions of Internet Explorer, though particularly targeting users of IE 8 and 9, has been identified.
Microsoft has promised a patch, but it may not arrive until the next scheduled security update on October 8th.
The prevalence of Internet Explorer on Windows machines used in business means that the flaw may affect up to 70 per cent of Windows-using businesses, PC World reports.
The Release Preview is available to download from Microsoft now, and is compatible with Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.

Tesco has entered the tablet market with the Hudl.
Although early rumours suggested the device would cost under £100, Tesco has revealed today that it will cost £119 and go on sale from September 30th.
The device comes with a 1.5Ghz quad-core processor, 7-inch 1440 x 900 HD screen, 16GB of storage, front and rear-facing cameras and Android 4.2.2.
The supermarket says the Hudl will allow it to have a ‘single relationship’ with its customers. Presumably it will try to entice more people to shop online via the device.
The tablet also integrates a number of Tesco’s services such as Blinkbox – the grocer’s answer to Netflix and LoveFilm – and Clubcard TV.
The Hudl comes in four colours and will be available to buy in store and online (via the Tesco.com and Tesco Direct sites).

The first controller to use iOS 7’s support for Bluetooth game controllers has been revealed.
The GameCase from iPad accessory manufacturer ClamCase is compatible with any of Apple’s Bluetooth-enabled iOS 7 devices, has a built-in battery and aims to give mobile and tablet gamers a console controller-like experience.
Apple’s reveal of the iPhone 5S and detailing of iOS 7 has led some observers to predict a big push in gaming for its iOS platforms, fuelled by the addition of controller support, the use of a 64-bit platform in the 5S' A7 processor to enhance performance of graphically-intense apps and the announcement of Infinity Blade III at the iPhone launch event.
iOS 7, a major overhaul both graphically and internally for iOS devices, has already been downloaded by over a third of Apple device owners eligible for the update.
GameCase is currently collecting emails for future updates on its website, alongside more details of the controller.

Apple has sold a record-breaking nine million iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C devices in the first weekend of their launch.
While some tech sites having reported a lukewarm reception to Apple’s latest iPhones, it seems consumers didn’t quite get the memo, with the demand for iPhone 5S exceeding the initial supply.
“This is our best iPhone launch yet – more than nine million new iPhones sold – a new record for first weekend sales,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.
As well as the sales news, Apple also revealed that more than 200 million iOS devices are now running iOS 7, making it the fastest software upgrade in history.
Although all this is good news for Apple, the new devices and iOS have both had issues. It was discovered last week that it's possible to bypass a passcode-locked iPhone by using iOS 7’s new ‘Control Centre’ from the lock screen.
Also, over the weekend German hacker team Chaos Computer Club posted a video showing how to fool the iPhone 5S’s fingerprint sensor.

Marat Fayzullin has release a new version of his AlmostTI port for android. AlmostTI emulates various graphing Texas Instruments calculator based on Z80.

- Added explicit "Quit" menu option, for people who cannot find BACK key.
- Added Twitter button to the change log, use it to keep track of updates.
- Ordered initial dialogs by importance (About, Change Log, Progress).
