PocketCM is a finger friendly contact application for PDA phone, it will allow you to scroll to you list of contacts, call them and edit them. Actually it's the rewrite in native of ContactManager, a .NET version of a finger friendly contact.
A new version can be expected soon, here are news straight from the official page:
PocketCM Contact 0.24 is coming...
I've had some time to work on the next release of PocketCM Contact.
What's coming:
- contact image display in SMS conversation
- bug fixes in SMS handling
- enhanced black theme
- better handling of contact image
- new switch effect when going from/to contact detail
- the ability to apply mirror effect to image
- and of course, some breaking change in theming (but believe me it's for the better)
Other things to come, but I just wanted to keep you updated...

A couple of weeks back we revealed that Italian iPhone fans will be forking out a wallet-burning £395 and £450 for the pay-as-you-go (PAYG) 8GB and 16GB iPhones.
Today, it's been revealed - unofficially - that UK punters can expect to pay a slightly less, but no less painful, £370 for the 8GB model but a steeper £470 for the 16GB version. Ouch! indeed, but unlikely to dim fans' enthusiasm.

This application allows you to read large Text (.txt,.text), Palm Doc (.pdb), Mobipocket (.pdb,.prc,.mobi), Plucker (.pdb), HTML (.htm,.html), and FB2 files quickly and efficiently on the iPhone. This application lacks many of the advanced features of ruBooks or Books.app, but it can quickly load and display large text files that currently cause Books.app or other UI Text View/Web View based apps problems.

News from zodttd:
Hi everyone, ZodTTD here. Time to talk about the latest and greatest media player for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.
As the developer of this port of the VLC media player to the iPhone, I have received a lot of misinformation and a few questions along the way. Here is where I will try to clear things up.
What is vlc4iphone? vlc4iphone is a port of VLC, a media player made by the team over at VideoLAN, to the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. VLC, and therefor vlc4iphone as well, includes many features. The biggest features include Internet Radio, Video On Demand (VoD) streaming, many popular media formats supported that are not available by default iPhone and iPod Touch installation, and no syncing is needed. You can drag and drop your media via SCP, a tool such as iPhoneBrowser, or even download via Safari and browse to the files with vlc4iphone!
What ISN'T vlc4iphone? vlc4iphone can not access the hardware decoder of the supported Apple hardware. While I will be talking about this more in the future, it's worth bringing up now. This is because all decoding of media must be done in software, with no hardware acceleration. Even with hardware acceleration, there is an imposed limit on the size of the synced video of which is just one format. Since vlc4iphone supports formats such as XviD, MP4, MOV, 3GP, FLV, and more all without re-encoding the file to a smaller resolution, it allows for a no hassle/wait playback. The downside of not re-encoding the video are some videos are in very high resolutions such as Hi-Def H264 movies. Since the current iPhone and iPod Touch's will only ever display at max 480 * 320 pixels, there is a chance that vlc4iphone may re-encode to 480x320 in the future when requested. This will allow for faster future playback on H264, XviD, and other intensive media formats. Until then, vlc4iphone is not meant for high resolution videos. The higher the resolution, the slower the playback.
Will vlc4iphone continue to improve? You bet! I am currently working on fixing a few remaining bugs, adding the mentioned re-encoding option, adding a portrait <--> landscape option, and cleaning up the interface.
What formats seem to play the best? For audio, you can play anything you throw at it! For video small resolution video formats such as the web friendly FLV (Flash Video) and camera 3GP work very well. So many video formats are supported, but it will depend on how it was encoded and to what resolution and bitrate.
You mentioned Internet Radio?! Yes! Shoutcast works. MMS protocol works. RTSP works. And a great feature is streaming media over HTTP. It all works!
Will performance continue to improve? Of course, as will the quality of code. When options such as re-encoding videos via the iPhone and iPod Touch are implemented, you will be less dependant on performance tweaks for Hi-Def videos as well.
Remember that this is still a beta. But it's progressing fast! The feature list grows with each release. I hope you find this application useful. I myself love the Shoutcast feature! I add a Shoutcast radio station and play it through my speaker docking station.

Unless you're very, very special, you haven't yet had an opportunity to run your hands over Openmoko's latest open-source creation, the FreeRunner, which was announced several months back with the hope of a spring release. Unlike the Neo1973 before it, the FreeRunner's said to be chock full of enough spit and polish to take on an audience larger than the original's hardcore developer base, and while a springtime date with destiny is now out of reach, it looks like they'll only miss the mark by a few days. A recent message from Openmoko's VP of marketing on the community listserv said that the retail phones should be packed and shipped by tomorrow and -- if all goes well, of course -- should clear customs by the first of July, meaning buyers should be able to get them delivered in the first week or two of the month. If they'd been able to squeeze in 3G, we'd hardly be able to contain ourselves, but even as it is, we suspect there's enough buzz to get units sold; let's just hope they're already hard at work on version three.

Mercedes-Benz's current iPod integration kit is pretty weak sauce, especially since the new COMAND nav / multimedia system is so well done, but it looks like the automaker's newest iPhone cradle will take steps to address some of the more glaring issues and also add some interesting new features. The cradle appears to finally integrate iPod controls with the main nav screen and COMAND controller instead of relying solely on the instrument display and steering wheel controls, and it will charge your phone while allowing you to make calls and listen to music. On top of that, plugging the phone in will apparently increase reception by using the vehicle's antennas as well as the iPhone's, and from what we can tell, you'll be able to access the contacts list as well -- something MB's current Bluetooth system doesn't allow. If you've already got the iPod kit or Media Interface kit, the adapters needed will run you €39 ($60), and the cradle itself is available now in Germany for €249 ($385).

Sure, you love your iPhone, but did you ever feel like there was just one application missing from the home screen... besides MMS, IM, or a video recorder? If you're like us, that missing application was a full-featured Packbot control program replete with streaming POV video and a standalone, direct WiFi connection that doesn't require a proxy machine to pass along commands. Rodrigo Guiterrez and Jeff Craighead -- the brains behind this operation -- claim that next up they plan to utilize the phone's accelerometers and a fullscreen video display to deliver a "you are there" experience for bot-steering. Engadget and its team of armed Packbots can hardly wait. Check the video after the break to see it in action.

Now here's something you don't see every day: a manufacturer openly complaining about its own product leaks on their corporate blog. Charlie from Nokia would "like to ask folks to do less peddling in [their] trade secrets," and lays out the myriad ways in which products get leaked (partners, employees, etc.), the supposed negative impact it has on Nokia's bottom line (lost money, angry customers, whatever), and how they feel about it (really upset). It's an interesting and sensitive topic because while companies hate having their products leaked, leaked products are our clearly part of our stock and trade here at Engadget.
Nokia kind of sums up their stance with this bit: "There are a lot of folks behind a product and leaks really screw up all the efforts." So yeah, we totally get that no one wants to have their inside info shared with the outside world -- we're a company too, and don't feel any differently. But it's up to each organization to insulate knowledge of its workings and products to prevent these kinds of leaks. It's not necessarily easy, but think there are few leaks that aren't preventable -- it's really a matter of companies taking their information security into their own hands. But just so Nokia (and everyone else) hears the other side of the story:
Not only do leaks drum up buzz and help customers make advance purchasing decisions (like whether to buy now or hold out for something coming down the pipe they'd prefer), it allows other companies to keep a closer eye on their competition. This means the marketplace is likelier to produce a product that's cheaper and/or better, if not also launched sooner. While that really sucks for the company whose products were leaked, it's ultimately really good for the consumer -- and that's who we represent. (Oh, and claiming leaks result in "a bunch of writers with no story" is actually kind of insulting to tech journos' collective intelligence.)
What we find really strange, though, is the attitude product people have about leaks totally "screwing up their efforts," which completely forsakes the early feedback they COULD be getting from their best and most engaged customers. This is precisely why some product "leaks" are actually plants to solicit unfiltered public feedback. (Yes, that really happens, although not very often.) That feedback can be positively unequaled in outing whether a product is on the right track, and we've been around long enough to know that if a product in its early stages isn't headed in the right direction, there's little chance it will be by the time it's released. Just remember that when you blame product leaks for ruining the launch of your next crappy device, okay?

SASHIMI is an Installer. Its main function is to install CAB, .REG., and .XML files that can be used when setting up your device. It can be run in Manual Mode, Fully Automated Mode, or in Manual+Auto mode. SASHIMI can also perform backups of your important files and registry entries and allow for easy restore during installation.
SHASHIMI stands for Semi Automated Script for HTC-Kaiser Installations, MortScript Initiated.
Changes:
NEW! - Alphabetized processing of all files and folders for better control of installations.
NEW! - EXE paths and processing added to Install phases.
NEW! - Owner settings back-up option and automatic restore before install phase.
UPDATED! - Fixed issue with install to Storage Card routine hanging on CAB files with very short names.
UPDATED! - File order processing. Registry (and tandem registry) files now get processed after CAB file installs.
UPDATED! - INI file and path processing to better deal with missing values for critical path variables.
UPDATED! - CAB installer updated to deal with non-standard Storage Card naming.
UPDATED! - Startup executable (VipMSCRexe) updated to 3.0.
UPDATED! - Optimized code structure with reduced sub-routines for less code complexity.
NOTE: - Although SASHIMI has actually been reduced in code size, it's processing time has actually slightly increased. This is due to the new features, most notably enhanced error checking and file alphabetization.

Giana's Return

The Great Giana Sisters. A classic platformer originating on the C64 computer. Back from the 80's, this remake is amazing and should shine on the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.
I am extremely excited about porting this! Check out this YouTube video of the first world and boss of this title!

News from Zodttd:
Hello everyone,
ZodTTD here. I have been hard at work on fixing some tough bugs and various issues with my port and frontend of the VLC media player to the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. The last of the major issues I had have been fixed, and I've fixed MANY bugs and even added a feature or two!
Here's a quick list of changes in vlc4iphone v0.9.5:
- Added a streaming media feature to vlc4iphone, so movies and audio can be streamed via HTTP and RTSP!
- Added full support (sound + video decoding) for the following video formats:
FLV (Flash Video) XviD (DivX) MP4 (MPEG4) MOV (Quicktime)
H264 (Hi Def) 3GP (Mobile movies)
- Added video playback of WMV movies.
- Added audio playback of OGG in addition to FLAC, MP3, MP2, etc.
- Added a fast forward and rewind feature for videos.
- Fixed up and improved file browsing within the vlc4iphone GUI.
- Fixed many bugs concerning stability.
With vlc4iphone you can download files from Safari on your iPhone or iPod Touch using a local download patch and easily add them to a playlist for playback, without worry of format and need of conversion and syncing tools.
Also, now you can enter your favorite media's HTTP URL or RTSP into vlc4iphone's playlists and stream the media over the net!
Have a YouTube video FLV? Just add it to vlc4iphone for playback.
There are still some things to do:
- I need to add ID3 Tag labels to audio media playback. And also label video media so people are more aware of what is being played during the playlist.
- I need to add a current location label to the file browsing.
- More performance can always help. Though FLV and MP4s are running very nicely assuming they aren't very large resolutions!
