Notes:
The jar archive contains the compiled code of the Android C64 project.
This release is only for usage on Android-based mobile devices. Use the latest JSwingC64 release for a version that can be used on a PC or the latest JME C64 release for a version that can be used on J2ME-based devices.
After uploading the apk file to your mobile device, you should be able to run the emulator. In order to run C64 programs it is necessary to copy such programs onto your mobile device. You can then use the emulator to browse your mobile devices file system and load the program.
The javadoc zip file is meant for those who are interested in the class structure of the application, i.e. rather developers than end users.
changes:
1.0.4 (based on SVN rev. 613)

You'll never believe this, but it looks like Cupertino might be getting ready to drop a bomb this summer -- a 3G bomb, in fact! The latest beta release of firmware 2.0 for the iPhone has apparently revealed a preference screen that allows users of the new model to disable the 3G radio and fall back to GPRS / EDGE because the faster service "decreases battery life." Gotta pay to play, as they say. The ability to disable 3G service in favor of improved standby performance is a pretty common one in modern phones, so we're not surprised to see it here -- just a little disappointed that Apple hasn't incorporated enough fairy dust to magically make the problem go away.

Oh, there are plenty of bad Chinese iPhone knockoffs out there, but the HiPhone may be the reigning champion these days -- so it kind of seemed like a matter of time before Apple loosed the hounds on distributors of the device. We don't have confirmation or proper human translation of the above legal notice, but it would appear Apple's European counsel Bird & Bird has delivered at least one notice to an unnamed distributor threatening €25,000 in damages (and €15,000 in legal fees) for HiPhone sales. Hardly the case of the century, but we'll let you know if we hear anything.

All AT&T's flip-flopping between offering free wireless at Starbucks and then taking it away—turns out it was some peon screwing up after all. An spokesperson for the company told the New York Times that the confusion was due to a "human error." But the day when iPhone users can definitively access the internet while sipping on frappuccinos will come, the PR flack assures, AT&T is just refusing to say when. Oh, come off it, AT&T. The cat's out of the bag already, you might as well roll out the service now. I'm sure there will be plenty of secrets you can accidentally release before deadline in the future.

If we saw the typical "Ships in 1-2 weeks" here or whatever, we wouldn't be sounding an alarm, but something is going on here. Both Apple's US and UK online stores are joining the O2 choir and are now reporting the iPhone as "currently unavailable" -- no 8GB, no 16GB, no nothing. It seems that Apple either significantly underestimated demand for the 2.5G models ahead of the 3G release that's still a few weeks (or months) down the road, or the 3G model is a whole heck of a lot closer than we could've imagined. Is anyone suddenly having a nasty case of "I only want what I can't have" syndrome and regretting that they didn't order one of these bad boys a day or two ago?

If you were starting to get worried that the new Gizmondo device would never see the light of day, fear not! According to an interview with Carl Freer, the company is hard at work on its next handheld, which he claims will feature a number of improvements on the previous, practically perfect iteration. First up, the new system will be built atop Windows CE 6 (which Freer claims has lots of "new goodies"), utilizes a separate graphics chip, will be an open platform with a readily available SDK, and can grab content form a web portal (Gizmondo.com, likely). Most interesting of all, however, is that Freer says the old Gizmondo units will be returning to store shelves. All of this magic is said to be happening by the end of the year -- though since we're nearly half-way through it, Carl and co. have a pretty small window. This is where the "exciting psychic worlds" come into play, right?

It's tough to keep track of the iPhone's slow global release, so one Apple fan assembled all the data into one easy to read map. If the country is red, then they either have the iPhone or will be getting it this summer. (Note: Switzerland, Spain and Poland are still just rumored, not official).
It's like one of those pandemic maps from the movies. You see the military general plotting two little red dots. Then four. Then eight. And then, all of the sudden, the dots have covered the general's body, spewing puss across the room in all directions.

I've spent the past few days working hard on psx4all. While it still runs too slowly on the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, compatibility is getting better. For instance the games can now be properly loaded through the BIOS and the Sony Playstation BIOS screen appears.
Temper4iphone, the Turbo Graphix 16 / Turbo Duo (PC-Engine / PC-CD) emulator for the iPhone and iPod Touch is still on its way. Exophase, the author of emulator this port is based on, has released an update, and I'd like to incorporate those changes into the port.
For those wondering of the mystery package, it's of a Pandora. The Pandora is a purely homebrew driven handheld with a focus on video games. It uses bleeding edge technology and wow is it fast! At it's default 600MHz using the new OMAP3 processor, Playstation emulation of Final Fantasy 7 runs in-game at 65 FPS (a bit over fullspeed) or higher. When overclocked to 900MHz you start seeing 100 FPS and higher in-game!
While the Pandora will take some of my freetime away at the moment, I am still focused on Apple iPhone and iPod Touch software. No worries there. There's room for both here at ZodTTD.
Sorry for the delay in responding to private messages, I'll get right on that now. It's been a busy week indeed!

The OrbLive streaming media app is for everyone who is sick of waiting for a Sling Mobile client on their iPhone. As you may (or may not) know, Orb pulls files off your PC and streams them to any device with an app or web browser capable of accessing the Orb interface. From there you can stream music, video files, and if you have a TV tuner card, live TV. While Orb was previously accessible via Safari, this new, official app is supposed to be an easier, more intuitive way to get your media on the go. It does require a jailbroken iPhone, however.

The headline kind of says it all, but if you weren't already sure enough that the first gen iPhone's stint in the UK was coming to a close, O2's pushing to make things crystal clear. It's hard to imagine both companies are going to just stop selling such a high profile device for too long, but clearly we're all still in the dark as to when its 3G replacement will officially be out.
[Thanks, Keith]
Update: While European carriers are running out of stock left and right, it seems Apple Stores in the UK and elsewhere still have iPhones -- for now.
Update 2: Okay, and now O2's page is showing that the iPhone is once again available. Temporary glitch or preparatory? Beats us, but if you want a 16GB device, it's apparently still up for grabs

We're not exactly sure what was going on with that whole on-again / off-again love affair with iPhones having gratis access to AT&T WiFi hotspots, but we're content with letting bygones be bygones. On the slightly tweaked iPhone "Plans" page, the carrier now lists "Access to AT&T WiFi hotspots" as an included feature along with call forwarding, 3-way calling and Caller ID. Sure, it's not a bona fide press release, but same difference, right?

Hi forum,
it has been about one year that I follow threads on xda-developers and I thank to all of you So, I decided to share something that I've done.
If you owned a PalmOS device in the past, sure you know this old blocks game that has roots in Puzznic. I’m a big fun of Vexed since the 1st PalmOS version. In 2002, I really missed this game when I bought my 1st pocket pc and decided to write it for that platform. Since then, I have a never ending Vexed project for Windows platforms that lives almost only on my pocketpc and my laptop. The game was only distributed to a couple of friends during these years since I was not able to convince myself on its quality to release it. A couple of months ago I’ve finally decided to seriously finish and package it as a freeware as the PalmOS version. But it's still hard to finish :P
So, what I expect by publishing it here for the 1st time is your support and feedback
The level packs and graphics are taken from sourceforge project of Vexed here: http://vexed.sourceforge.net/
The source code is entirely written by myself. This is an early beta version. Feel free to send feedback to fix things. Check options if block animations are not smooth for your device.
Regards,
palmhook

S2U2 (Slide2Unlock2) is a simple lock/unlock application which has the iPhone style slide unlocking. It can be used as a screensaver while you don't use your device. And it's has a CallerID function (some devices may not work, so please try it first); and S2P control plugin.
Changes:
- added option "ExceptionEXEisFG" - 1 means the exceptional applications list (ExceptionEXE0-9) will be checked against the foreground application only; 0 means the exceptional applications list will be checked not only the foreground application but also the background applications.
- added a charging animation when the device is charging; to disable it, delete the battery1.png under \gfx\.
- added DPAD Up/Down (besides the Volume Up/Down) to mute the incoming ring/vibration.
- if S2P is running, unlock S2U2 will invoke S2P.
- some fine tuning done when interacting with S2P.
- some minor bugs fixed.
- updated the Configuration & FAQs sections of the README.TXT.

For those that need to be in the know about the very latest supposedly-leaked 3G iPhone shots that hit the web this week, we've got you covered -- but we're not convinced, especially of the device on the right. The shots on the left do at least seem to be crafted around those supposed size and shape leaks we saw the other day though, so bonus points there for playing into another current rumor to rack up a small bit of credibility. Still, in our best Rick James voice, Photoshop's a hell of a tool.

Vodafone's just got a tiny, minor, insignificant announcement to make this morning: it's signed with Apple to sell the iPhone in ten markets, including Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy (so much for Telecom Italia), India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey. Expect the phone later this year -- that's all we know for now. Score one (or ten?) for Voda.
