DoubleSkill is a simple and brain-damaging game : you have to control, at the same stylus, the bottom bar and the top 'raquette'... Use the Stylus or the Pad to do so.
If one of the 2 balls falls, it's game over !
Be careful, the game speeds up over time...
This is a horrible first version, with horrible graphics and no menu...
The game has been lying around on my hard drive for ages, so I thought I might as well distribute it ^^ Not sure how much I'll add to it... I was experimenting with pixel effects for the score

We know Apple's had its Inkwell handwriting recognition software in OS X for years now, so we might have otherwise just totally glossed over this Handwriting Recognition Engineer job listing on Apple's site. Except for the part that reads: "The recognition technology you create may extend beyond Mac OS X to other applications and the iPhone." They always love to throw those little tidbits in there, don't they?

According to http://www.modmyifone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89701 there is a new version of Pianist out. Pianist is a virtual Piano application for the iPhone.
Features:
A complete four octave keyboard
Multi-touch. Up to 5 keys can be pressed at once allowing complex chords.
Sounds like a real piano with realistic piano multi-samples.
Animated piano keys react to your touch.
Play along to all your MP3s.
On-screen keyboard navigation allows you to easily move up and down by octaves or "part octaves" (ie. left-most key is a C or an F).

While it doesn't exactly come as much of a surprise, it seems that Apple has plenty more goodies in mind for the iPhone (and, presumably, the iPod touch), with a recent batch of no less than six patent applications revealing some of its plans to turn the device into what it describes as a "lifestyle companion." In this case, that rather vague term refers to what is effectively an upgrade to the Nike+iPod system, with the iPhone's accelerometer and other built-in capabilities also coming into play in addition to the usual external sensors. It doesn't stop with workouts, however, with the patent applications also indicating plans for a diet coach of sorts, which could even make use of the iPhone's camera to scan bar codes on products. Those components would also of course all work together, with the system able to suggest workouts based on your diet and physical condition and vice versa. Of course, these being patent applications, there's no indication as to when we might actually see such a a system, but it sure seems a good deal more likely than some of Apple's other ideas.

Apple's no stranger to having its wares ganked (a lot), but this one really has us scratching our noggins some kind of fierce. Apparently a couple of meddlesome 20-somethings working at a Salem, New Hampshire Apple store managed to scoot away with somewhere between 330 and 700 iPhones. After somehow stuffing that many handsets into a panel van / pickup truck / privately owned C-130, they seemingly sweet talked a single high-roller into snatching up their entire stash for upwards of $138,000 -- which could be a bargain (or not) depending on the actual quantity included in the deal, internal capacity, etc. Minutiae aside, both individuals are currently residing under the strong arm of the law (surveillance cameras are hard to dodge), but curiously, nothing is mentioned about the buyer who didn't find spending over a hundred large with a couple of average joes (who just happened to have an inordinately large amount of iPhones for sale) the least bit odd.

Oli Hinkka, author of the Quake I port to S60 3rd Edition, has just released the first ever Symbian OS port of Quake II! The current release includes both a software and hardware (OpenGL) renderer and requires FPU (floating point unit) and about 25-30 MB of free RAM (operating) memory. A version for lower spec'd phones may be released at a later date.

CEPhotoViewer is an extremly tiny "Photo Viewer" for Pocket PC's.
Release notes:
Folks,
I have created a small photo viewing application that I wanted to publish to the world. Key features are
- Native C code. No dependencies on .NET or any other library
- Tiny (just 25Kb)
- Full screen photos with gestures and hot-spots
- Slide-show mode
- Nice transitions (you can see them all in the slide show mode)
I have tested this on my GPS (CE 4.2) and PDA (Hermes) and it works quite well.
Gestures:
- Slide left to go to next photo in list (You can also use the wheel down for this)
- Slide right to go to previous photo list (You can also use the wheel up for this)
- Slide up to go to last photo in list
- Slide down to go to first photo in list
Hot Spots
- Top left to open a specific folder. Folder navigation is done by sliding up and down and select the to select
- Bottom left to open a specific photo. Again, you can slide up or down or go to a specific folder
- Bottom Right to start/stop slide show mode. Slideshow is 3 seconds. You can change the config file to specify different interval
- Top right to exit
- Right edge of screen to go to next photo in list
- Left edge of screen to go to previous photo list (You can also use the wheel up for this)
- Bottom edge of screen to go to last photo in list
- Top edge of screen to go to first photo in list
Configuration
CEPhotoViewer saves its configuration in CEPhotoViewer.cfg in the same folder as the exe. This file contains the last open folder and the slide show timeout
Startup
- On startup CEPhotoViewer looks for any JPG/BMP/GIF images in the program's folder. Else it prompts you to select a folder. Once selected the config file is created and subsequent runs, it will automatically pickup that folder
Bugs
- CEPhotoViewer uses native microsoft DLL to load a image. Depending on the speed of your CPU, this loading might be slow. Photos resized to the correct size (under 640x480) load pretty quickly. Large (2MP+) photos take a couple of seconds to load. Perhaps someday I will include native JPG loading codeDone
- CEPhotoViewer is built for ARM CPUs only. I can build for other CPUs but dont have a device handy
Looking forward to your comments. Im also working on finishing a MP3 player and a launcher (more appropriate for GPS devices)

With this new sleek GUI, you can choose exactly what you need to get the job done… Whether it be using older jailbreaking methods for phones pre-1.1.4, or setting your new phones free for the first time, you can do it all simply by checking a box. But thats not all, iLibertyX also supports the new PB+J (pepijn’s boot and jailbreak), in other words, jailbreaking your new iPod Touch is now no more than plug and click!
You’re an iPhone/Touch noob? No Problem! iLibertyX isn’t only powerful, its also intuitive. Launch it, and it automatically shuts down iTunes, detects which type of device is connected (iPhone or iPod Touch), and changes the default settings accordingly. Plug and play has just been redefined. http://theiphoneproject.org/
