Locations - a native iPhone application to watch webcam images whenever you want and wherever you are.
Release notes:
I got my test iPod Touch yesterday and was able to dig down the problem Locations v0.3.0 had within 30 minutes. Nice. So here you go: Locations 0.3.1 is now again supporting (as far as I know) all devices in all versions. Am I wrong? Let me know in the comments.
Locations 0.3.1 is available in STE repository which is part of the community sources available by default when installing the Installer.app. Please support Ste by donating for his hard work. Since I bought an iPod Touch especially for testing purposes, donations would also be very much appreciated!
Thank you and enjoy!
Update: Sadly there are some (new) known issues with this release:
[new]: Main “Locations” list view is too short, the last location is only visible by half
[known but detected only now]: Search does not show any results, if the user switched on another search result page with a previous search
[new]: Massimo reported that adding more than 7 locations manually will result in the following message: “not pointing to a valid image” (not able to confirm that one yet). Just got another report that the issue is solved after the iPod rebooted.
[known]: Scrolling too much (in my case 99 times) in the widescreen mode crashes the app

Select any application in either /Applications or /var/root/Applications and launch it, so long as the app is registered with SpringBoard.
Release notes:
Version 0.31 is in the XLaunch folder. Try tilting it on its side! Now supports Webclips as well as app icons.Oh, and p.s. Yes, it does work on the touch. And p.p.s. This probably means that AppFlow is deprecated. What do you all think? Let me know.

As you may or may not know, Apple has made some sort of announcement -- however minor -- every Tuesday since the beginning of 2008. The internet is currently stacked floor-to-ceiling with guesses of what this last Tuesday in February will bring. Many are speculating that it's going to be the often-discussed, never-seen MacBook Pro update, while others are certain that this will be the day old Jobsy unveils iPhone's supposedly-delayed SDK to the world. Still there are those who believe this Tuesday will see the launch of the Apple Robot Army, while many think that we're going to finally get a look at that iShrink shrink ray that's been long-rumored. Of course, it's possible this will be a heaping dose of iNothing. We want to know:

Mollusk posted this:
Ok, here's the updated version of XFlib... No complete changelog, as we changed a lot of stuff...
Off the top of my head :
- VGA support, now works much much better on VGA phones !
- WinCE 5 support (lots of GPS can actually run the games !)
- New pad stuff added, mainly usefull for smarpthone apps
(Pad.Newpress(etc...) => .SoftLeft and SoftRight (for softkeys), .Ok and .Back, .Pound and .Star (numpad stuff), and Pad.Newpress.Number returns the numpad value or -1 if no number from the numpad was pressed (used in Skinz Sudoku)
- Rot/Zoom pixel thingy should be fixed
- Now removes the topbar when run on a smartphone (actually, only tested on 240x320 smartphones, not sure what it does for 176x220 ones)
- When minimizing the app/game, opening the exe again doesn't launch another instance anymore, it just gives the focus back to the original one
And that's about everything I remember ^^ If you have any questions, I'll be around !

Since the debut of the iPhone I thought it needed a bit more sparkle and wow. Changing the color through paint was out of the question due to durability issues, I wanted to create something special. I have seen some mods online where people paint their phones with spray paint, even one place that gold plates the black. Paint is crappy especially spray paint. Trying to get it to bond on metal is impossible and with keys in my pocket and everything else it would end up looking horrible after a month. The place that gold plates the backs has the same problem. Anyone who knows anything about metal plating knows that while gold plating aluminum is possible it is really scrappy and wears off really easy. This wasn't a viable solution. After a lot of research and analysis of the iPhone hardware itself I came across an interesting technology, TiN.
Used on industrial drill bits and high wear applications this plasma deposition seemed like the perfect solution. With my research I found it is used on many high end watches to create an extremely durable beautiful surface finish.
You can check out its cool properties on your own, for me it became the holy grail for my iPhone modification. Again a lot of work ensued and a lot of $ spent but I have finally done it. Here are some pix, The gold is TiN and the black is TiAlN. Let me tell you these things are a bear to take good pictures of. I also tracked down some new aluminum backs and had them hard anodized black to match the black antenna cover.

StyleTap, the folks behind the CrossPlatform Palm emulator for Windows Mobile have built a proof of concept version of the software for the iPhone / iPod touch. They're not committing to releasing any such product, and aren't releasing the software as a beta or anything like that at the moment, but the video demo of the software in action is certainly promising. All the apps are rather responsive, the device benchmarks a good bit faster than the Tungsten | T, and Apple's keyboard is even integrated into the proceedings quite nicely.
