Marat Fayzullin has released another version of its GameBoy Advance emulator VGBA-Android.
Quote:
I have just released VGBA-Android 4.4.3, a new version of my GameBoy Advance emulator. Starting with this release, I am switching to the new Layout Editor that lets you control individual joystick button sizes, shape and opacity. If the new Layout Editor is not working for you, or you have a suggestion about it, please, email me.
Also, the "Assign Keys" screen will now show current key assignments for each button. It is another obvious feature that should have been there from the start.

Apple's recent hires in wearable tech have largely taken place outside the watch industry, which is slightly odd for a company rumored to be making a watch of its own. However, it just addressed that discrepancy in style -- LVMH's watch division hasconfirmed that Apple has snagged Patrick Pruniaux, TAG Heuer's sales and retail VP, as part of a broader campaign to poach talent from watchmakers. We've reached out to Apple to learn more about its plans, but LVMH group head Jean-Claude Biver tellsCNBC that Pruniaux will be working on the "iWatch." Clearly, the team in Cupertino wants someone who can market wristwear to a large audience.

Sprint and T-Mobile may have been the first big US carriers to announce launch plans for LG's G3 smartphone, but they won't be the first to actually carry it. AT&T hasrevealed that both the G3 and the Android Wear-based G Watch will reach its stores on July 11th, with online orders beginning on the 8th. In both cases, pricing is par for the course. You'll pay $199 on contract for the G3, or $29 per month in one year's worth of Next installments; the G Watch will cost you $229 up front. The AT&T-native G3 doesn't particularly stand out (unless you really, really like Big Blue's logo), but it may be your best bet if you just have to get a quad HD-capable Android phone as quickly as possible.

27 million mobile phones and 12 million tablets will be sold in the UK this year - some five million devices fewer than 2013, predicts CCS Insight.
The analyst also estimates mobile phone sales will drop 11 per cent this year, while tablet sales will fall 14 per cent. However, its infographic shows that sales are expected to rise again in 2015 and beyond, with CCS predicting the number of tablets in use to double by 2017.
Sales of mobile phones dropped 20 per cent in the first months of 2014 compared with the same period in 2013. Meanwhile, tablet sales, which broke all records in previous quarters, slumped 17 per cent.
CCS say this is the first time such a sharp decline has been recorded in the UK outside a recession.
Marina Koytcheva, director of forecasting at CCS Insight, said: "The slowdown in tablet sales should come as no surprise to the industry. We warned back in December that the spectacular tablet growth we've been seeing in the last two years was unsustainable. With replacement rates for tablets slower than those of smartphones, a temporary lull was inevitable."
The forecast revealed that replacement sales of mobile phones are slowing, with consumers having little reason to upgrade as regularly as they have in the past.
CCS Insight expects competition to reach 'unprecedented' levels in the second half of 2014. It reckons consumers will look to replace old PCs and adopt wearable tech, and that the market will get a lift when Apple unveils the next iPhone.
Ben Wood, Chief of Research at CCS Insight, added: "This is a double whammy for device manufacturers. No one anticipated we'd see so much pressure on both tablet and smartphone sales at the same time. In response to slowing sales, consumer electronics companies will be tempted to step up their marketing efforts and spoil buyers with a wealth of attractive promotions and bundles. Early signs of this have already emerged, with cheap tablets or wearables being thrown in with a smartphone sale to sweeten the deal".
CCS Insight CEO Shaun Collins said: "The Brits love their gadgets and now they have to spread their money across more devices. It's no longer just about having the latest and greatest smartphone.”

Foxconn will use robots to help assemble Apple’s next flagship smartphone.
Named ‘Foxbots’, each robot will be able to put together around 30,000 devices.
Apple will be the first company to have its products assembled by the Foxbots, which are currently undergoing their final testing phase.
Costing between $20,000 and $25,000 to make, Foxconn plans to install 10,000 robots in its factories.
While the news of the Foxbots might worry the manufacturer's human employees, it seems Foxconn is on a hiring spree. The firm recruited over 100,000 people in mainland China last month, all of which are expected to be working on the newest products by Apple.
The iPhone 6 is expected to be unveiled in September or October and is rumoured to feature a 10MP camera, 4.7-inch display, NFC technology, 1600 x 900 resolution and sensors foratmospheric pressure, temperature and humidity.
It is also reported that Apple will launch a larger smartphone alongside the iPhone 6. This one is rumoured to come with a 5.6-inch display.

LG is introducing its G Pad 10.1 tablet globally, starting with the US today (July 7th).
The device will launch in other markets in Europe, Asia and Latin America later in the month.
The G Pad 10.1 is the largest in the new series and features a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 10.1-inch IPS 1280 x800 WXGA display, 16GB of RAM, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, 800mAh battery, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
The device also features QPair 2.0, Smart Keyboard and LG’s Knock Code, which allows up to four users to register their knock patterns so family members can share the same tablet while still being about to keep their data and photos private.
“Consumers use tablets differently from smartphones and we wanted to highlight the important role of entertainment in the new LG G Pad 10.1,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG.
“Tablets are increasingly being used as companion devices, which is why we made connecting the LG G Pad 10.1 to other devices so easy and convenient and why LG G Pad 10.1 offers the best core technologies of our G series smartphones.”

A week or so ago Xbox Live underwent some changes that broke parts of Spark 360, rendering it useless for features such as profiles and friends lists. Version 6.50 fixes those issues, but with a considerable caveat – it removes a considerable chunk of features that are no longer available due to the latest changes to the Xbox Live web portal.
Gone are detailed user statistics, such as bio, name, location, motto, rep and Microsoft points (though removal of the latter is considerably overdue) – with the exception of rep, which is now a slider, none of those stats are available. Missing also is the Find gamertag option in the friends list.
On the bright side, the rest of the Xbox Live functionality should be back to normal.
PSN support, the lesser used half of the app is still broken – due to a change in the authentication protocol which I still haven’t been able to fix. I will do my best to fix this before September, but so far I have been unsuccessful.
While I wrote about this in an earlier post, I should mention again that Spark 360 will be taken off Google Play on September 1st – the latest changes to Live further decrease the usefulness of the app – especially with the official clients now being available. I won’t be making any more changes to the client, but the source code willstill be available at https://github.com/pokebyte/Spark360 - anyone who wants to fork and maintain the app is more than welcome.

In VGB-Android 4.2.7, released today, I started improving the save/restore functionality, the way users asked me to. The new release lets you assign custom keys for the Freeze, Restore, and Replay functions. So, if you have got a gamepad with many extra keys, you now have something to do with them in VGB. Also, some users complained that it is really easy to overwrite a saved state by mistake. To fix that, the new VGB comes with the "Confirm Freezing State" option. When enabled, it requires you to click the "Freeze" button twice to save state.
Finally, ZIP files should now work for people with Kitkat devices, while Xperia Play owners will appreciate the ability to assign functions to their "O" button.
- Added custom key assignments for freezing, restoring, and replaying gameplay.
- Added "General | Confirm Freezing State" option for people who tend hitting "Freeze" by mistake.
- Fixed support for .ZIP files stored on Kitkat SD cards.
- Now allowing to remap the "O" button on Xperia Play gamepad.
- The "REWIND" hardware key now replays recent gameplay.
- The "RECORD" hardware key now freezes gameplay state.
- The "PLAY" hardware key now restores gameplay state.
- No longer showing box art for .ZIP files, as we cannot identify them.
- Moved "Screen Orientation" option to the "Video" tab.
- Reordered items in the "Video" tab.

Many Speccy-Android users asked me about a better virtual keyboard. Today´s Speccy-Android 3.1 release adds Spectrum128 extended virtual keyboard, among other things. Other changes include customizable backdrop image and the ability to disable it completely, if you do not like it. Kitkat users will find ZIP files working again, while Sony Xperia users should be able to assign and use the "O" button on their gamepads. Finally, you can now assign freeze/restore functions to custom buttons on your gamepad or keyboard, for quick access. See below for the complete change list, rather long this time.
- Added Spectrum128 virtual keyboard, due to high public demand .
- Added support for extended keys found on Spectrum128 keyboard.
- Added custom key assignments for freezing and restoring state.
- Added fast-change buttons to the Palette Editor interface.
- Added "General | Confirm Freezing State" option.
- Added "Emulation | Virtual Keyboard Type" option.
- Fixed support for .ZIP files stored on Kitkat SD cards.
- Now allowing to remap the "O" button on Xperia Play gamepad.
- Made decorative backdrop optional (see "General | Show Portrait Backdrop").
- You can now supply your own backdrop in /sdcard/Speccy/Backdrop.png.
- No longer showing box art for .ZIP files, as we cannot identify them.
- Moved "Screen Orientation" option to the "Video" tab.
- The "RECORD" hardware key now freezes gameplay state.
- The "PLAY" hardware key now restores gameplay state.
- Gallery now shows box art, as well as screenshots.
- Reordered items in the "Video" tab.
