A US teen claims that her Galaxy S4 smartphone caught fire overnight while she was sleeping and burnt a hole through her pillow.
Ariel Tolfree’s father told local Texas TV station KDFW that his daughter woke up to the smell of burning and discovered that the smartphone had cracked and melted.
It is suspected that the phone’s battery overheated and swelled up.
This isn’t the first claim that a Galaxy S4 has caught fire.
Last year a man from Hong Kong claimed his device exploded, and earlier this year a woman from the UK reported that her Galaxy S4 was sizzling after leaving it charging overnight.
This also isn’t the first model in the Galaxy line that has allegedly caught fire.
In 2013 a South Korean man claimed his Galaxy Note set alight whilst in his pocket.

A year has passed and ScummVM 1.7.0 is here.
With this release we have added support for 45 completely new games. These are:
- The Neverhood
- Mortville Manor
- Voyeur
- Return to Ringworld
- Chivalry is Not Dead
Also, we have updated the MT-32 emulator, added an OpenGL backend, improved many aspects of the GUI, enhanced the AGOS engine, made Urban Runner's videos less CPU-demanding, fixed tons of bugs in dozens of SCI games, improved sound in Loom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and improved platform portability for the Tony and Tinsel engines.
But this is not all. We have added experimental support for the OUYA console (we couldn't add GCW-Zero support simply because sev still awaits his console from Kickstarter), made major improvements to the PS2 port and merged the Bada with Tizen ports.
The full list with all changes mentioned can be found in our release notes and the release can be obtained as usual from our downloads page.

Marat Fayzullin has updated his (commercial) GameBoy emulator VGB-Android.
Quote:
In a fresh VGB-Android 4.3 release, I am replacing the old and clunky Layout Editor with the new Joystick Editor, letting you independently resize buttons. All virtual joystick size, shape, and opacity settings have been moved from the Settings dialog to the Joystick Editor.
- Now showing current key assignments in "Assign Keys".
- Replaced "Edit Layout" option with "Edit Virtual Joystick".
- Buttons can be individually resized in Joystick Editor.
- Added scale, shape, and transparency options to Joystick Editor.
- Added gravity indication with dotted lines to Joystick Editor.
- Added button labels to Joystick Editor.
- Removed separate joystick size, shape, and opacity settings.
- Reordered items in the "Input" tab.

Apple has asked its suppliers to produce up to 80 million iPhone 6 devices for launch - its largest ever initial production run of iPhones.
Between 70 million and 80 million iPhone 6 units will be shipped, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal, compared to the 50 million to 60 million produced last year for the launch of the iPhone 5S and 5C.
The iPhone 6 is set to enter production this month and is said to come in two versions - a 4.7-inch model and a 5.5-inch option. Both screens are rumoured to use in-cell touch panel technology allowing for an even thinner build than usual.
The device is also said to feature metal cases similar to the iPhone 5S, and is likely to launch in a range of colours.
And in case the iPhone 6 display has a high failure rate, Apple has asked its component manufacturers to be prepared to make up to 120 million iPhones.

Marat Fayzullin has updated his (commercial) GameBoy emulator VGB-Android.
Quote:
The next VGB-Android 4.2.8 release is up on the Google Play. I have added what should be the one-click support for Wiimote controllers. Simply check the "Input | Wiimote Support" option and Wiimote should work. If it does not, email me. Also, the BACK button found on many gamepads should be fully functional and assignable now.
Starting with this release, I am no longer disabling VGB when you have LuckyPatcher installed. Many people complained about this limitation, so I removed it. Please, do not use this as an excuse to pirate VGB - help me developing it by getting yourself a legal copy
Finally, I have had a chance to test VGB on a real x86-based Android device, Dell Venue 8. After I have found and fixed a slight problem with scanline effects, it runs perfectly, smoother than on most ARM devices.
- Added "Input | Wiimote Support" option for easy and painless Wiimote support.
- LuckyPatcher use now accepted, by public demand, but you will see a warning.
- Gamepad BACK button fully usable and assignable.
- Fixed scanline effects on x86-based Android devices.
- Tested VGB on real a x86-based Android device (Dell Venue .
- Fixed crashes when downloading DropBox files.
- Fixed crash when setting backdrop location.
- No longer showing box art for .ZIP files, as we cannot identify them.
- Moved "Keep Screen On" to the "Video" tab.
- Fixed some Russian translations.
