As the unfortunate trend continues, yet another kiddo has found their Christmas PMP replaced with something that's, well, not a PMP. In today's episode, we find a Washington, D.C. girl that unwrapped an iPod earlier this week and discovered that the only Apple product tucked within was the inner packaging. Instead, a clever note was stashed inside (presumably with a paperweight of some sort) that read: "Reclaim your mind from the media shackles. Read a book and resurrect yourself. To claim your capitalistic garbage go to your nearest Apple store." Oh, and just in case you really needed more than one guess as to where this thing came from, here's a hint: it was sold by the same retailer who passed on Wii demo units due to "safety" concerns.

mobileZIPcodes is a small tool that allows you to browse ZIP codes and the corresponding city/state/district/country data on your iPhone or iPod touch. As you don’t require to be online while looking up the ZIP code information, it is in particular useful for iPod touch users without the ability to use EDGE on the way. http://www.andi.de/zipcodes/#download

iPVDasm is an iPhone port of PVDasm an 32bit disassembler.
Release notes:
The Proview (a.k.a PVDasm) Disassembler project is Free, Interactive, Multi-CPU (Intel 80x86/ Chip8) that includes many features which allows the user to perform analysis on the target image file. PVDasm currently support image files of executable files (.exe), dynamic executable images (.dll) and Game-Boy image files (.gb/.gbc). Proview disassembler is being developed now for over 6 years and the work has never stopped (might be delayed) since than. PVDasm is always intended to be a free disassembler without any profits what so ever, this makes Proview different than the other disassemblers' out there.
PVDasm has been coded by me in 2002, history can shows that the first Proview engine was developed as a side project and was integrated as a part of a packer identifier which was also coded by me and was released in the name and version of Proview v0.8. Later that year this has changed, PVDasm disassembly engine has recoded from scratch with the aid of Intel x86 Books and the online opcode decoding tutorials and information of The-Svin as a project for my university. Proview disassembler disassembly engine does not use any 3rd party code or any other disassembler's code and operates by its own code. Currently the engine decodes the Intel 80x86 (32Bit) architecture (and hopefully later on will support the 64Bit architecture decoding) and support the different operation sets such as MMX/SSEx/3D Now! More than Intel, PVDasm also decodes the Chip8 CPU (and old CPU with minimal set of opcodes) which was used year back for gaming.http://code.google.com/p/ipvdasm/

Nokia's new N-Gage-as-gaming-platform concept was originally supposed to blow our minds in September ... and then November ... and then December ... and now – according to a Reuters report published today – it will be delayed into "early 2008" due to "delays in software testing." Nokia spokesperson Karen Tuutti explained, "We found one more issue which had to be solved before we could open the service." We presume that would be the issue of convincing gamers to pay any attention to the now comically delayed service.

Looks like there may have been a possible leak of the next version of Apple's iPhone firmware, 1.1.3. According to Gear Live, it can now handle SMS to multiple recipients, the springboard (home screen) supports reordered icons and pagination (as well as web bookmarks), and Google maps gets hybrid view and that nifty cell-based location system. If this is all Steve plans to announce iPhone-wise at Macworld next month, we think there will be more than a few disappointed iPhone users out there. Then again, home screen pagination would kind of imply an SDK to make use of all those slots, so maybe the real news is under the hood.

Maybe we just turn a bit sentimental during the holiday season, but damn it, we'll admit to getting a little choked up over reader Claude M's well-planned, uber-geeky proposal to his girlfriend -- even if his method of choice did happen to employ the totally overexposed iPhone. Being the romantic fellow that he is, Clause spent what must have been numerous hours producing a video proposal in the style of those ubiquitous commercials -- as you can see after the break -- and then screened it for his sweetheart (probably on his or her you-know-what) while they were strolling around the area where they'd first met in college. We'd like to congratulate the happy couple -- she said yes, duh -- and encourage them to race over to our Christmas contest post, where they have decent odds of scoring a pair of round trip tickets for the honeymoon.

ChristmasXed is a Christmas-themed version of the puzzle game Xed, with more than 2000 levels !
Move the blocks left or right, and form groups of 2 or more to have them disappear...
Though it sounds simple, every move can block you from winning, so be carefull ! Lets see if you can finish every level with the minimum number of moves...
Besides the Christmas Theme, 2 other block skins are available, and more to come as soon as I find a graphist to work on it ^^
