TinyGL is a very small software only implementation of a subset of OpenGL for embedded systems. It has been ported to work on top of hotdog, which in turn makes it available to run on the iPod. Source can be found in my personal SVN repository at http://svn.so2.sytes.net/repos/ipod/tinygl/
No it isn't perfect and no it isn't super fast. Yes it does use software floating point, and no I don't plan to change it to fixed point. No you aren't going to be able to port any sort of intensive 3D application to it without expecting absolutely horrible performance. Yes, patches are welcome.

Nervegas has released a new version of his Nes Emulator for the iPhone:
NES.app lets you play Nintendo games on your iPhone. It is a fully functional, feature-rich Nintendo emulator.
NES.app uses an emulator core we call NESCore, which we've forked from pNESx and InfoNES and re-engineered as a highly-portable and high-performance Nintendo emulator core.
In order to use NES.app, you will need ROM images of Nintendo games. ROM images are files containing the dumped instruction code from a physical cartridge. In many cases, you are legally entitled to posess a ROM imageof any game that you presently own. ROM images for NES are widely available online, or with the appropriate hardware, you can dump them yourself directly from the cartridge.
Features
Multitouch: Use the directional pad + A + B, or other combinations
Landscape Mode: Turn the iPhone counter-clockwise to play in landscape mode
Zapper Tap: Tap objects on the screen to shoot them
Full Screen: Enlarge your NES picture to the max possible
Save State: Save an instant snapshot of your game and come back to it later
Game Genie: Use Game Genie cheat codes
... and many more
NES.app is not iPhoneNES!
NES.app started as a fork of iPhoneNES v0.01, but has been completely rewritten to run very fast, and with many additional features including sound, multitouch support, full-screen, landscape mode, game genie codes, saved games and much more. It now contains zero code from the original iPhoneNES project.
As of recent, stepwhite re-released a much older version of NES.app as iPhoneNES v0.31. We have no idea why, but please be aware that NES.app is in no way affiliated with the iPhoneNES project (which only ever released v0.01 officially). We recommend using the latest version of NES.app instead, which is available below.
1.11.0 [nervegas] Added bookmarks support
Added pre-game options (delete save, bookmark, etc)
Added navigation bar titles
1.11.1 [nervegas] Fixed bookmarks nagivation title
Fixed file selection dropping behind button bar

The tubes are buzzing this morning with reports that the recent iPod classic 1.0.2 update has a nasty bug in it that causes the drive to constantly spin -- a glitch that's a little more troubling than those freezing issues we heard about, since bumping a spinning platter is a sure way to kill your drive dead. Most users see the problem manifest as the battery draining much more quickly than it should, and it seems to be particularly a problem when using CoverFlow, but others say it's totally random and that replacement iPods with 1.0.2 loaded don't exhibit any symptoms. In any event, iPod Classic owners who haven't updated should probably hold off, and those who have should see how their devices are holding up.

A new version of iSwitcher, a theme changing application for the iPhone, has been released. Changes are:
iSwitcher has been revised to work with the new 1.1.1 firmware and it's subsequent changes. Primarily there is no longer a DisplayOrder.plist file. So... what does iSwitcher do for you with 1.1.1? It will install and replace all icons and it will load in the associated Dock image. It still copies in the wallpaper and other "SummerBoard" related files (with the hope that SummerBoard will return); however in the current 1.1.1 firmware state, these are not displayed.

I've spent some time over the past few days, and rewrote MandelPod. No longer will it seem to hang your iPod while it draws...
The old module was ported from podzilla0. The new one was rewritten from scratch, to use TTK directly. It also uses TTK's gradient functions to generate the palettes to be used for rendering.
It's also got a switch to see the associated Julia set as well.
(This is all available via source; in SVN 2327)

The Steve has listened to our incessant whining and now he's writing something I've been waiting to read for many months: "Let me just say it: We want native third party applications on the iPhone, and we plan to have an SDK in developers' hands in February."
That's the lead-in from his letter on Apple.com saying the third-party app SDK for native iPhone programs is coming in early '08. It'll also do iPod touch programs. Jobs also explains the delay: Making the iPhone more open while keeping it secure from viruses has been a challenge.
They're taking their time, and doing it right. Arn from Macrumors points out that the piece includes hints that Apple might pick up a digital signature system for app verification.
P.S. Kudos for Businessweek on scooping this ahead of time, but Fake Steve called it first, bluffing or not.
P.P.S We'll really have to wait awhile to find out the exact details of app development to fully celebrate, but right now, I gotta admit, I feel like a born-again fanboy.

While we're pretty certain a 16GB iPhone is on the way given the recent emergence of the 16GB iPod touch -- this ain't it. Posted in the user forums at MacRumors and making its way around the interwebs is this supposed 16GB iPhone purported to have just arrived at an Apple store. The jockeys at MacRumors have already pretty much debunked:- The box is using the old Calculator icon even though the firmware is supposedly version 1.1.2
- The iTunes WiFi icon on the box is warped
- Exif data shows a timestamp of 5 days ago (why sit on a scoop for 5 days before posting?)
- Noise is too uniform in the supposed cameraphone picture
And finally, here's the original iPhone about page before being 'shopped!
A couple more photographs here

The iPhone customising application has been updated with a new release. Changes for this version include:
- 13 Oct 2007 Fixed iPod bug.
- 12 Oct 2007 Version 1.11 (huh, how coincidental) will run on 1.1.1 and now rSBT has been rolled into Customize. It is Universally compatible, so it is safe to run on both 1.0.2 and 1.1.1. See Development Blog (at right) for more info. Special thanks to Shai!! For all his help on version 1.11 adding extra image swapping features.
