Would you like to jot down notes on your iPhone's gorgeous touch screen? Are you missing a way to sketch a simple diagram as a quick reminder? Will your children like to draw on your iPhone, maybe on top of a picture you shoot with the camera? Sketches is a native iPhone application that will allow you to do all that. Scribble your thoughts quickly, select a picture from your photo album to draw notes on top, or shoot a photo of your friend just for the sake of putting a moustache on her face You can even erase your drawing by shaking your iPhone, as if it were an etch-a-sketch!
Release notes:
Sketches 0.2 alpha already allows you to draw on the screen, select a picture from the photo album or shoot a photo to draw on top of it. It will save your work automatically, unless you clear it using the button or shaking your iPhone like an etch-a-sketch. You can draw full-screen: the UI will hide when you tap on the screen.
Future releases will include many improvements, such as the ability to select pencils and colors, a library of stationary to use for your background, geometric shapes, complex shapes (stamps), saving your work to the photo library (so that you can synchronize back to your computer), and many other ideas we will be thrilled to develop.

Nervegas has released a new version of his Nes Emulator for the iPhone:

NES.app uses the popular InfoNES emulation core to mimic the 6502 processor in a Nintendo Entertainment System, allowing you to play ROM dumps of games designed for the NES console. ROM dumps are files containing the dumped instruction code from a physical cartridge. In many cases, you are legally entitled to posess a ROM dump of any game that you presently own. ROM images for NES are widely available online, or with the appropriate hardware, you can dump them yourself directly from the cartridge.
NES.app started as a fork based on the same original code as iPhoneNES, but has been completely rewritten to run very fast, and with many additional features such as sound, game genie, saved games, and full screen support.
1.3.2 [nervegas] Allow A & B to be simultaneously pressed
NOTE: Only two buttons can be pressed at a time per Apple
Rewrote save state / wiring routines for better compatibility
Added mapper state hooks for seamless mapper state save
NOTE: Saved games from prior versions are incompatible
When auto-frameskip, set default skip to 1 when restoring
Suspend emulator when changing orientation to avoid crashing
Fixed Game Genie code entry

It looks like those complaining of problems with the iPod touch's screen weren't seeing things, as Apple has now reportedly confirmed that at least some early units did indeed ship with defective screens. That bit of news comes at the tail end of a review of the player by none other than Walt Mossberg, who reports that Apple says the problem affected a "small number of units" and that it is "being remedied." Exactly what that remedy entails, however, is unclear, as is the exact number of units affected. In related news, there's also been a few unconfirmed reports cropping up of similarly dim screens on newer iPhones, with the problem seemingly traced to units released after the now infamous price cut. No word from Apple on that, but if your new iPhone's display looks a little off, feel free to let us know.

This is the moment you've been waiting for, Kingdom Hearts fans! Tokyo Game Show is underway, and guess what? We now know the names of the three new Kingdom Hearts games! The Square Enix Conference is going on as we type! And believe it or not, this is official stuff! Thanks to 1up, which gives us the official information, we now know the new titles of the games along with some descriptions.
Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days for Nintendo DS
-appears to star Roxas from Kingdom Hearts II
-looks like there is four-player simultaneous play using members of Organization XIII.
-It will be in full 3D. Kingdom Hearts: Coded for Mobile Game:
-Looks like it's for Japanese cell phones.
-It stars the main characters. (Sora and Co.)
-Seems to be set between the first and second PlayStation 2 titles. [Bits like this are speculation from the presentation of course]
and also mentioned was :
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep for PSP:
-Looks like a singleplayer game similar to the Playstation 2 games.
-This is not Kingdom Hearts III.
-1UP is guessing the protagonist of this game is a young man that looks a lot like Zack from Final Fantasy 7. KHInsider is guessing they mean Terra from the Famitsu scans today.

Think Yahtzee! Fun, and easy to play. Great game for killing a time since it will hold your place. Play whenever you want. The iPhone is a great platform for a native version of this game. Enjoy!
Release notes:
Prior to .8b this was very much a proof of concept. The last time I wrote a Yahtzee game was nearly 17 years ago, in HyperCard. After getting an iPhone I found myself missing having Yahtzee on my cell phone. I was also looking for projects to get a little more familiar with the current iPhone development. Once the game was playable and released, I branched off at .2.8b, and rewrote large portions of the code. These changes have made the game more stable, faster, and most importantly more fun to play.

When you open up 15, you will see 15 tiles numbered 1-15. The board will jumble itself up (40 times!) and your job is to get it back in order. Here's where the twist comes in - you don't drag the pieces, you tilt your iPhone and let gravity do the work for you!

We've seen a number of USB tuners that make converting files for handheld viewing a lesson in simplicity, but ReplayTV is givin' you one more alternative. The Personal HD kit includes a USB 2.0 ATSC / NTSC hybrid tuner, an antenna, wireless remote (which fits nicely in a spare PCMCIA slot), a free year of ReplayTV Electronic Program Guide (EPG), and bundled software that features native iPod, Apple TV and iPhone support. This "all-in-one" solution for getting OTA content on your device of choice is set to ship this November for $99.95.

The rumors are true: iPhone exclusively on T-Mobile Germany starting November 9th just like in the UK. The 8GB model will go for €399 [or £279] (including V.A.T and 2-year T-Mobile tariff) and will be sold through Telekom Shops of Deutsche Telekom and the T-Mobile web shop. Yes, you still get access to the WiFi iTunes Store, Visual Voicemail, and, for better or worse, EDGE data. In fact, "by the end of 2007," T-Mobile will be the only provider in Germany to offer EDGE throughout its GSM network. Whoopee. Sorry, no mention of unlimited data or free WiFi hotspots but we'll update you as soon as we know.

MobileTetris is a Tetris clone for the iPhone. MobileTetris is currently in beta development. It's in a very playable state right now, but there are still many more features to add!
Changes: Version 0.7.6 had a capitalization error in one of the filenames, leading to rather undesired behavior. Make sure to grab 0.7.6b!
