MNPlight aims at getting rid of the need for a computer with iTunes. It runs on your iPhone, and is able to modify the iPhone calendar, address book and iPod databases.
MNPlight can be of particular interest for Linux users who don't have iTunes, but it can also be used by other users when they want to update their iPhone data when they are away from their iTunes computer.
If you keep using iTunes, you may experiment problems with the Calendar and the Address Book since modifications done on your iPhone won't be seen by iTunes.
Changes:
iTunes: bug #4718 fixed.
Calendar: multiple calendars can be saved.http://movenplay.gforge.inria.fr/

Sick of having to keep RSS feeds as bookmarks on the iPhone? Don't like having to browse to a website to check your feeds? Ever wanted a native RSS reader on the iPhone/Touch? Well this project is here to fix all of that!
The goal of Mobile-RSS is to create a native iPhone application which will remember all your feeds and give you an easy interface for viewing, adding, and removing. Mobile-RSS is part of the MobileStudio.
Release notes:
Yes you read right... It looks as if I have found a solution to the dreaded item view text wrapping!
This solution lets us keep the working links and all that fun stuff, while at the same time wrapping the text to fit on the screen.
Basically what I am doing is throwing in a div around all the text and throwing a style sheet on that div where I set the width to 315px.
I have also been making a bunch of fixes to help with some of the crashing that has been happening, so that should be nice also.
I will be releasing the new version on the google code site within the hour, and I will get it sent off to be updated in installer.app right after that. Now how long that takes... well some times its fast and some times its slow... thats all I can say...http://code.google.com/p/mobile-rss/

Nokia has announced another delay in its N-Gage First Access platform, originally scheduled for a November launch.
The pre-release version, delayed into December, was going to work only on Nokia N81 or N81 8GB phones and was to feature one or more games. Those with access to the application could post feedback and make suggestions on the company's forums.
Now, however, even the pre-release version of the revamped N-Gage platform has been delayed.
"We know all of you are eager to get started with N-Gage First Access, and we are just as eager to get it into your hands and start hearing your feedback. We have teams of people around the world, literally, working overtime to deliver this experience to you," said a statement on the official N-Gage blog.
"Unfortunately, as can sometimes happen in software development, unexpected difficulties can occur. We have been doing an internal run with more than 1,000 global testers this week, and during this process we uncovered an issue we feel we need to address.
"Overall, the games and service are working smoothly, but because of this issue, we feel we could not release N-Gage First Access before the holidays as planned."
While working on a solution, and carrying on extensive internal testing over the holidays, Nokia plans to "polish the overall experience" even as it readies more games.
Nokia released the original N-Gage, a combination phone, handheld gaming device, MP3 player, PDA, and FM radio, in 2003. A year later, a subsequent redesign - the N-Gage QD - removed radio reception and MP3 playback features.
The latest iteration of the N-Gage is an application, built into or downloaded to a supported Nokia phone, that acts as a central hub for content including games.

Apparently, Nokia just hasn't swallowed the fact that the world doesn't seem ready (or interested, whatever the case may be) in a handheld gaming system / cellphone hybrid. 'Course, with all that PSP phone chatter going on, we guess the times could be a-changin', and Nokia definitely doesn't want to miss its shot at redemption. A fresh patent application from the outfit details a handheld device that acts as a phone, multimedia player and gaming machine, but rather than forcing users to feel as if they're handling an NES controller, this concoction provides two wings that slip down for added comfort. Whether or not this thing would double as an acceptable boomerang remains to be seen.

We already had an inkling that Apple was in talks with both NTT DoCoMo and Softbank to bring the iPhone to Japan, but a spokesperson confirmed today that Steve Jobs has indeed met with DoCoMo president Masao Nakamura, but didn't say when or exactly what they talked about. That's not much to go on, of course, but seeing as any phone on DoCoMo's FOMA network will have to be UMTS / HSDPA -- that's 3G, to all you keeping score at home -- we're keeping a close eye on this one.
