Via pdroms comes word of a new version of Xump the puzzle game for Pocket PC:
Xump consists of a 20x12 playfield which is filled with various types of blocks. Your job is to make the blue blocks disappear from the playfield by stepping on them. There are five main types of block, each of which behave differently.
Grey Blocks: A grey block allows you to step on it with out disappearing when you stand on it. Your start point is always a grey block, the last block you step on must be a grey block as well.
Grey Arrow Blocks: Arrow blocks forward you AUTOMATICALLY in the given direction without warning, with exception to the two way arrow blocks which have either a vertical or horizontal black line. You may only walk over two way arrow blocks in the direction of the arrows. Arrow blocks do not disappear when you step on them
Warp Blocks: Warp blocks always come in a double pack. If you jump in, you come out at the other warp block. Warp blocks are grey and have a hole in them, they do not disappear when you step on them.
Blue Blocks: Blue blocks have to be destroyed by stepping on them. Be warned that blue blocks disappear after a short while of standing on them, or when you leave the block.
Darkblue Blocks: Darkblue blocks turn into blue blocks, be careful: Darkblue blocks are sometimes an essential part of the puzzle elements.

News/release from Mollusk: for Pocket PC:
Here's a quick release of an old game I coded, Virus Chaser. I didn't release it at first because I was looking for a graphist (never found one ^^). If anyone is motivated, feel free to post here ! The theme can be completely changed, I named it Virus Chaser because they were the only images I had ready to use :s
The whole game is about preventing a virus from escaping !
Each turn, you can plot a single wall to try and block the virus, and it'll then move 1 tile towards the exit...
Each time you manage to capture it'll, you'll have to restart with 1 less wall at the beginning... How good a Virus Chaser can you get ?

Jonz has released a new version of his Nes Emulator for the iPhone:
NES.app lets you play Nintendo games on your iPhone. It is a fully functional, feature-rich Nintendo emulator.
NES.app uses an emulator core we call NESCore, which we've forked from pNESx and InfoNES and re-engineered as a highly-portable and high-performance Nintendo emulator core.
In order to use NES.app, you will need ROM images of Nintendo games. ROM images are files containing the dumped instruction code from a physical cartridge. In many cases, you are legally entitled to posess a ROM imageof any game that you presently own. ROM images for NES are widely available online, or with the appropriate hardware, you can dump them yourself directly from the cartridge.
Features
Multitouch: Use the directional pad + A + B, or other combinations
Landscape Mode: Turn the iPhone counter-clockwise to play in landscape mode
Zapper Tap: Tap objects on the screen to shoot them
Full Screen: Enlarge your NES picture to the max possible
Save State: Save an instant snapshot of your game and come back to it later
Game Genie: Use Game Genie cheat codes
... and many more
NES.app is not iPhoneNES!
NES.app started as a fork of iPhoneNES v0.01, but has been completely rewritten to run very fast, and with many additional features including sound, multitouch support, full-screen, landscape mode, game genie codes, saved games and much more. It now contains zero code from the original iPhoneNES project.
As of recent, stepwhite re-released a much older version of NES.app as iPhoneNES v0.31. We have no idea why, but please be aware that NES.app is in no way affiliated with the iPhoneNES project (which only ever released v0.01 officially). We recommend using the latest version of NES.app instead, which is available below.
2.0.2 [jonz] Added saved game icon next to saved games in all browsers
More code cleanup
Improved swiping, removed false swipes when scrolled from center

After countless delays Nokia has revealed that its revamped N-Gage platform will finally go live next week. Electric Pig reports that the mobile giant is putting the finishing touches to the games service as we speak, with punters able to download new games and compete against other people from next Tuesday.
N-Gage will launch with a somewhat limited line-up of games, including Brothers in Arms, The Sims 2 Pets and FIFA 08, with a broader range of titles promised shortly after launch. What's more, you don't need a pasty-shaped handset to play them either, because the N-Gage service is designed to eventually work with the entire range of Nokia's N-series of phones – although initially it's only compatible with the N81, with N95 and N93 owners able to get in on the action at the beginning of next year.

Square Enix has officially revealed a sequel to Super NES classic Final Fantasy IV... but it's for mobile phones. Pitch forks at the ready.
Final Fantasy IV The After - Return to the Moon will release on Japanese FOMA 903i model mobile phones in February, with support for other mobiles coming later.
According to the latest issue of Famitsu, the game has you playing as Theodore, a young boy who is descended from the SNES original's hero Cecil, though Final Fantasy fans are probably too busy cursing into their handhelds to care.
The 1991 original was later ported to PlayStation and remade on the Nintendo DS, and is largely regarded as one of the best entries in the massive RPG series. Its hugely disappointing then that the follow up is coming to a watered down format only properly available in Japan. But we're not bitter at all, no.
We'll let you know if its any good. Y' know, if we ever get our hands on it.

If you've been drooling over the little TomTom add-on for the iPhone we nabbed a "photo" of the other day, you can probably wipe the spittle off your chin. It looks like the image makes a fatal in flaw in borrowing its barcode from a fairly well-known iPod fake (pictured above). Additionally, in researching our tipster, we've discovered he's a graphic designer with a penchant for Apple fakes -- not exactly a confidence builder. So it appears we've got more rumor shot down -- though we hope TomTom and Jobs are paying attention, because it's painfully obvious that the people want GPS on this thing, and they want it now.

Thanks to another set of ambitious iPhone hackers, we've officially got video on Apple's wonder-device (that somehow omitted video to begin with). It's not much right now, but if you want, you can see your phone recording five succulent seconds of real-deal video at around 15 FPS. The developers say this is just a proof of concept, and they've been able to get up to 45 FPS on the device -- so hopefully we can expect a more robust version soon (like, say, one that lets you save the recording).

Nokia have just unveiled a new first party virtual pet simulator, Creebies, for the upcoming Next Gen N-Gage platform. To find out more, head on over to All About N-Gage. Also noteworthy in the press release is that Nokia describes N-Gage as available for "Nokia Nseries and other S60 3rd Edition devices", although they haven't yet revealed exactly which non-Nseries models will support the platform.
