TimeScreen by PhonePhreak Software offers a replacement for a traditional clock screensaver: a screensaver-like sleep mode, which you can activate in those situations where you wish to have the current time ready at one glance - without having to handle the phone.

Syncing the iPhone can be inconvenient. You have to plug in the phone etc etc etc to make sure your contacts and calendars are backed up. If you're like me you get caught with new contacts and calendars on your iPhone, forget to sync to the computer, and then lose them all on a restore (presumably after you ****** up with some sort of modding).
To date probably the simplest way around this problem is the mac solution of MobileMe which syncs your contacts and calendars over-the-air to your account and then to your computer. The problem? MobileMe costs some $$$.
Enter the Google. Something super simple, uses the iPhone's built in functionality (no extra app needed), and best of all Free.

China Mobile and Apple have been trying to come up with an agreement to bring the iPhone to China with three rounds of talks over the last 18 months between Apple CEO Steve Jobs and COO Tim Cook and China Mobile President Wang Jianzhou. The end result of these talks is no iPhone for China
According to an Interfax source in the first round of talks Apple asked for 20-30% of China Mobile's revenues which China Mobile rejected.
In the second round Apple offered to sell iPhone to China Mobile at $600/unit as long as China Mobile agreed to subsidize the phone when selling to its users. China Mobile didn't like that much either.

When the Andriod G1 came out many were dissapointed from the lack of multi-touch support. The iPhone remains the multi-touch king so to speak in the mobile phone business. Many have speculated over the reasoning behind Andriod's lack of multi-touch support while others have added it in themselves later. Finally a Venturebeat source on Google's Andriod team has come clean.
Google has not included multi-touch support in their Andriod platform because Apple asked them not to.
Apple and Google have a good relationship together. Apple has google as the default search engine in the iPhone...

NES.app emulates the hardware in a Nintendo entertainment system, allowing you to play games on your iPhone. There are many public domain, home-brew games available which have been written for the Nintendo platform, and depending on your country of origin, you may be entitled to play images of commercial games which you rightfully own.
The author does not condone the illegal piracy of copyrighted Nintendo games, and provides no support in obtaining or using pirated images.
NES.app uses an emulator core I call NESCore, which I've forked from pNESx and InfoNES and re-engineered as a highly-portable and high-performance Nintendo emulator core.
In order to use NES.app, you will need ROM images of games written for the Nintendo Entertainment System platform. ROM images are files containing the dumped instruction code from a physical cartridge, or compiled code from a public domain / home-brew game. In some cases, and based on your location, you may be legally entitled to posess a ROM image of a game that you presently own. Check your local, state, and federal laws.
Features
Multitouch: Use the directional pad + A + B, or other combinations
Zapper Tap: Tap objects on the screen to shoot them
Full Screen: Enlarge your NES picture to the max possible
Save State: Save an instant snapshot of your game and come back to it later
Game Genie: Use Game Genie cheat codes
... and many more
