We first showed you PdaNet back in September, and since then they've done quite a bit of work on it (including changing from free to $29 ).
I gotta admit though, despite being $29, this is by far the best tethering app out there for iPhone: and 1.50+ now adds USB tethering support for Windows users. And it works like a charm. Mac guys - sucks to be us about now. Here's the word from the guys:

In terms of USB connection the Mac platform and Windows platform are quite

Ever since the iPhone was given Exchange support for Calendars, one of the first things I looked for was how to get my Google Calendar on my phone. I soon learned about NuevaSync, a free service that allows you to link (via Push) your Google calendar and contacts to your iPhone. It's pretty straight-forward and secure. However, up until today calendar if you had multiple calendars you weren't able to differentiate between then since the service didn't provided color identifications. No longer is this a problem!

With Mobile World Congress a little over month away -- and Android essentially a no-show at CES -- suspense is building over what sort of action we'll see out of the Google camp at the show. Australia's Smarthouse cites a particularly cocky Telstra exec saying that he's got an upcoming HTC set that's "better and more functional" than the Pre -- and seeing how he enjoyed a Palm briefing this week, he'd have a pretty good idea. Rumor has it this Pre killer will run a version of Android with HTC tweaks and will have a huge display, which seems like a good combo if you're trying to impress a jaded smartphone buyer these days. The mystery device is expected in the second quarter of the year, which gets back to our hope that we'll see some Android heat at MWC next month; don't get us wrong, the G1 is great and all, but we're ready for some more.

We don't have a failsafe way to confirm that these are real, but what we're seeing certainly jibes with what Palm's been saying about webOS and its Mojo SDK: all web, all the time. Apps, which rely heavily on HTML and Javascript, are actually debugged right from the comfort of your desktop web browser, so it seems like there isn't even a native emulator to worry about. Boy Genius Report has a few screenshots posted, and while there isn't anything too terribly interesting going on, it's good to have some semi-confirmation that devs are already hard at work bringing stuff to the webOS table in time for the Pre launch. Oh, and Palm: feel free to hook us up, because we have this awesome idea for an Engadget app. Seriously.

Phone Scoop has learned that Motorola's handset division is expecting a large round of layoffs as soon as this week, according to someone familiar with Motorola's plans. The layoffs are confirmed to be significant and may amount to 50% of the entire handset operation... Motorola is prepared to trim the number of new phones it brings to market down to just a dozen per year, and the only smartphones it will produce will be based on Google's Android platform

The numbers are in for Microsoft's Windows Mobile sales in 2008 and according to Steve Balmer's keynote at CES, they sold some 20 million sets running Windows last year. It will be interesting to see how they fare this year as the competition keeps growing with Android, WebOS, Palm's Pre, and of course iPhone. We have to tell ya though, with HTC leading the charge with a never ending flow of sweet sets, Windows Mobile will likely stay competitive throughtout his year. We've no clue what hardware's going to win this war, but we are sure that we'll hear all the Rah Rah Sis Boom Bah when they do

Added a Solar System Schematic View page.
It can be accessed via the opts menu.
It shows the positions of the earth, moon
and planets in their orbits around the
sun. The orbital and planet radii are
not drawn to scale.
Added one-month Moon phase calendar. The
older 21 month calendar is still present.
New, less ugly, icon.
When one unzooms, the center azimuth is
now forced to be a multiple of 5
degrees. This matches
the size of the unzoomed step quantum,
and makes it possible to pan to an exact
cardinal point direction,
including the original due south
orientation.
Bug Fixes:
I referred to the Last Quarter phase of
the moon as Third Quarter in one
display. Fixed that.
Very small bug fix in the big moon
calendar that occasionally prevented the
current month from being highlighted.

ListCaller by Konstantin Bezyaev is a program making it possible to automatically call multiple contacts, one right after another. If you need to make several calls to different people (e.g. to arrange an appointment with a group), you don't have to spend time on calling one person, disconneting, selecting another contact and calling it, and so on. This program will do it automatically. Just select a list of contacts you want to call and the program will automatically connect to all of them, one after another. This way you can make multiple calls while doing something else, e.g. driving a car. You can even configure duration of calls so that the program can automatically disconnect one call and make another...
