Has anyone tried to play Sensible Soccer or Sensible Soccer International Edition on Picodrive? The games boot up ok but after selecting the team to go to the match, the screen goes black and then nothing. This happens on both editions. Is there anything I can do or are they just incompatible? Also, are there only a few games with sound. Only one of my games utilises sound. Any help here much appreciated.

Hello, can anyone help? I have just got my N-Gage but am having problems in using PC Suite. I have formatted my card using the N-Gage and connected my N-Gage to my PC via the USB cable. When I go into PC Cuite it says 'This is the first time you have used PC Suite. Please attatch your Nokia N-Gage to the PC and press OK to continue or press close to exit PC Suite.' The connector symbol on the toolbar is greyed out (disconnected). I have clicked on this and it gives me 3 COM ports to select but when I select them nothing changes, I end up having to close PC Suite. I have bluetooth enabled on the N-Gage. Am I missing something completely obvious? Could someone advise how I should go about doing this correctly. I don't know if it means anything but I have Windows XP.

The Zodiac multimedia handheld device is set to launch in the UK on October 22nd, with creator Tapwave signing up an exclusive deal with Dixons and PC World which will see the arrival of two models of the award-winning device.[br][br]The powerful handheld device boasts a fully functional Palm operating system and PDA as well as music, movie and 3D videogame capabilities, with a large, high-resolution touch-sensitive display, integrated Bluetooth, stereo sound and an analogue control stick.[br][br]The two models of the device which will arrive on October 22nd are the Zodiac 1, which has 32Mb of built-in memory, and the Zodiac 2, which has 128Mb. Aside from memory capacity, however, both devices are functionally identical, and can be extended thanks to the presence of two SD card slots.[br][br]The Zodiac 1 will retail for a suggested price of UKP 269.99, while the Zodiac 2 will sell for UKP 329.99, and both models will be bundled with a multi-region charging kit and an updated version of the custom Zodiac Software Suite.[br][br]A range of software for the platform will be made available in boxed form - including Activision's Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4, Midway's SpyHunter, id Software's DOOM II and 3D Realms' Duke Nukem Mobile, along with two multi-game packs, all priced at UKP 29.99 - although Tapwave's model is more focused on digital game sales than on boxed title sales.[br][br]"We are looking forward to working with the Dixons Group Plc to launch the Zodiac into the European market," according to Tapwave's European sales director, Andrzej Kasprzyk. "We chose a partner that will back the product with significant marketing activities and who understands the Zodiac and loves it as much as we do. In terms of reputation, muscle and image, Dixons Group Plc - with its key High Street retailers - is the perfect outlet for the Zodiac."

The Nes emulator for the Nokia N-Gage and other series 60 phones hasnt had any news since the first release, anyway for those interested heres the latest from the author of SymbNes [br][br] Well, no new release so far - there's couple of reasons, first reason is that we haven't had enough time. Second reason is that there's no 'easy' speedups to be had. Anyways, just hang on . WE'RE NOT DEAD, we're just busy.[br][br]Sometime in the future there'll probably be a version with different core than infones too(any emu authors wanting to lend a hand in porting theirs?).[br][br](oh and maybe a vers. that would load from c: as well)

Mobile entertainment specialists Tapwave are set to launch the Zodiac handheld in Europe within the next two months, with a price point and other launch details for the portable multimedia device set to be announced shortly. [br][br]In preparation for the launch, Tapwave has established a UK presence, with Andrzej Kasprzyk appointed as director of European sales, while Roy Parker has been named as director of international operations.[br][br]The system is expected to arrive at UK retail in the next six to eight weeks, and Tapwave hopes to see it appearing in a wide range of outlets - including a presence in both traditional games retail and in the PDA sections of more IT focused stores.[br][br]The Zodiac is a portable device based on the Palm operating system used by popular PDAs such as the Palm Tungsten and Sony Clie, but is optimised for use as a games and multimedia device.[br][br]While it retains the full personal organiser functionality of other Palm devices, it offers a large 480x320 widescreen display, an ATI 3D graphics chip, built-in stereo speakers, two SD card slots, an analogue control stick and shoulder L and R buttons.[br][br]The system, which launched in the USA in June, is capable of playing back music and movies as well as a variety of games - with Tapwave promoting a selection of boxed titles, including Doom II, Duke Nukem Mobile, Tony Hakws Pro Skater 4 and SpyHunter, as well as a game download service over the Tapwave.com portal. [br][br]The sleekly-designed device ships in two different versions - the Zodiac1 being a 32Mb system, while the Zodiac2 sports 128Mb of built-in memory - and appears to be squarely targeted at older gamers and professionals seeking to upgrade their PDAs and snag a gaming system in the process.[br][br]The timing of Tapwave's launch in Europe is also good - since neither Nintendo nor Sony will be launching their next-generation handhelds in this market until 2005, arguably leaving the Christmas market wide open for a handheld device. [br][br]"Right out of the gate, European interest in the Zodiac has been strong, from consumers and media to distributors and developers," according to Tapwave co-founder Byron Connell. "The company is now ready to unveil our multimedia console in other markets, starting in the UK and then expanding from there. We are looking forward to starting a relationship with consumers and distributors worldwide."

Nokia has announced that shipments of its N-Gage game decks have surpassed a million units worldwide, with strong uptake of the new N-Gage QD hardware driving significantly improved sales in the past months.[br][br]The company's senior vice president for games, Ilkka Raiskinen, announced the achievement at the European Games Network trade show in London yesterday - where the firm is also showcasing its forthcoming N-Gage line-up.[br][br]While the figure represents shipments rather than sell-through, company spokespeople indicated that channel inventories are quite low, so the installed base isn't far behind the million mark.[br][br]Raiskinen also revealed that around 150,000 N-Gage users have signed up to the N-Gage Arena service, representing around 15 per cent of the installed base of the system, and that the game deck has had a global tie ratio of "more than one, but less than two" software units.[br][br]One slightly surprising revelation was the fact that the N-Gage has performed most strongly in the United Kingdom, with sales of the system here far outstripping sales in any other territories. Europe remains Nokia's strongest territory overall for N-Gage, but the company believes that early figures from N-Gage QD suggest a reversal of fortunes in the USA, where N-Gage has so far failed to gain a foothold.[br][br]Nokia also chose the European Games Network event to unveil a new addition to its Christmas software line-up, with Gameloft's Asphalt Urban GT providing the platform with a 3D racing title which features over 20 licensed cars which can be fully customised by buying new parts in the game.
