Zeemote has released an SDK that enables developers of content for the Android OS to integrate with its JS1 Bluetooth Controller.
The Zeemote Android SDK supports Android versions 1.6, 2.0 and upward and builds on SDKs the company has already released for JavaME and BlackBerry.
Existing Zeemote developers can download the Android SDK from here.
To date the JS1 Bluetooth Controller has been used primarily as a games peripheral, with support from the likes of EA, Gameloft, Glu and FishLabs.
But Zeemote is looking to push use of the device for others kinds of apps. To that end the company says it will be unveiling a global developer programme in the next few weeks that will offer technical support and routes to market.
