Zodttd has released a new beta for the iphone, this beta is donationware ie you dont pay you dont get, heres the details;

As promised, I have released an early build of vlc4iphone v1.0.0 Beta. It is based on the latest stable release of VideoLan.org's VLC, v0.9.2! Some core functionality is missing from it still.

If you would like to try out this version, please consider donating.

Here's what it has:

New interface. New look.
Internet Radio Browsing & Searching. Shows current track information!
Command line input by manually adding a bookmark.
Seeking into audio & video.
Mobile video formats are running great, such as FLV and 3GP.
Working file browser.
Enter a manual bookmark to an HTTP URL or RTSP/MMS for streaming media!

Here's what it currently lacks:

Playlists! It currently only plays one piece of media at a time. This is being worked on as we speak.
Performance of MP4's is very slow.
Sound is sometimes missing in
