Apple’s iPhone 5 is now available in the US contract-free, besides the standard two-year contract option.
The unlocked iPhone 5 will be priced at $649 for the 16GB version, $749 for 32GB and $849 for 64GB. Both the black and the white model will be available.
Shipping time is currently estimated at one week, while consumers will be limited to a maximum of two purchases.
Meanwhile, Apple has acknowledged that unlocked iPhone 5s will be GSM-only, which means that they will support AT&T and T-Mobile in the US, but will not work on CDMA bands.
Furthermore, 9to5Mac’s sources have hinted that Apple could begin selling the unlocked iPhone 5 at its retail stores within the next week.
