Trials for mobile broadband 4G have started in Cornwall, with around 200 people taking part. 4G, or Long Term Evolution standard broadband, is available to those taking part as both home and mobile broadband, with BT and Everything Everywhere running the tests. "BT is committed to working with the government and using technology innovation to find ways of addressing the remaining challenges within the UK where there are still broadband 'not-spots'," said Neil Stagg, BT Wholesale CEO. Many of those chosen to take part in the trial previously struggled to get a broadband connection. Ofcom recently announced its intention to delay its 4G spectrum auction until late next year.
