The wait is over – Supernova explodes on iPhone, iPad and Mac!

Supernova™, the second add-on for Fishlabs Entertainment’s mobile sci-fi benchmark Galaxy on Fire 2™, can now be purchased on the App Store for all relevant Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac) in platform-optimized SD, HD and Full HD versions. Galaxy on Fire 2™ - Supernova kicks in right where the first add-on Valkyrie™ ended and centres around the Mido Confederation’s hard-fought struggle against a devastating supernova and a mysterious squadron of stealth fighters. Supernova™ is available via in-app purchase for the price of €5.49 / $6.99 / £4.99 through the main menu of Galaxy on Fire 2™. Since the events of Supernova™ are closely connected to the campaign of Valkyrie™, the latter has to be finished first before the former can be unlocked. Players, who have not yet bought the Valkyrie™ expansion, are recommended to purchase a value bundle that contains both add-ons together for the special price of €7.99 / $9.99 / £6.99 instead of paying the combined unit prices of €9,48 / $11.98 / £7.98. The prices for Supernova™ on Mac are €11.99 / $14.99 / £10.49 and the bundle is priced at €9.99 / $11.99 / £7.99 respectively.

About Galaxy on Fire 2™ - Supernova:
The extensive storyline of Galaxy on Fire 2™ – Supernova takes about 10 hours to complete and introduces not only several new characters, such as the ingenious but muddle-headed Professor Thadelonius Moonsprocket, but also a broad variety of new space ships, weapons systems and high-tech equipment. Forthermore, the fans of the series can also look forward to a reunion with their favourite characters from the former instalments of the GOF2 saga, such as Keith’s girlfriend Carla Paolini or the slimy multipod Mkkt Bkkt. Throughout the campaign, the players will have to trace back the origins of a giant supernova that threatens to blow the whole Mido sector and its inhabitants into oblivion. If you accept the challenge, you will have to command a premade space ship with preassigned weaponry and score as many kills as possible in two-and-a-half minutes. Since combos and multiple hits will result in extra points, exhibiting an effect attack strategy and good piloting skills will come in more than handy for all players eager to dominate the global leaderboards. And if you have iOS 6 installed on your iPhone or iPad, you will furthermore be able to challenge your friends directly through the Game Center and dare them to beat your current high score. In addition to the afore-mentioned novelties, the free update will also liven up the player’s own space station – the infamous Kaamo Club – by placing several new dealers and vendors in the respective station’s space lounge. If you have the right amount of credits at hand, you will be able to make use of these shady characters’ special services and not only buy six additional space ships and several new weapons from them, but also hire them to pimp your own space ships by enhancing your handling, armour and cargo space or installing an additional equipment slot.

Full support for the new iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5^th generation:
Subsequent to the iPhone 5 keynote, Fishlabs has completely adjusted its flagship title Galaxy on Fire 2™ HD to the specifications of the new Apple smartphone. Hence, the game will not only fully supports the 1136 by 640 pixel resolution of the 4” Retina Display of the iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5^thgeneration, but also contain additional shaders from the Full HD version, which will make Galaxy on Fire 2™ HD look even better than before. Since all of these features are part of the free add-on as well, they will also be available for players who have not yet bought the new Supernova™ expansion.
