Following the success of Sainsburys 6 pilot phone shops, the supermarket will roll out the additions across its fleet of over 400 stores. A phone shop website is also on the cards to provide an online backup for the stores.
The modern looking shops are said to have received positive feedback from customers who apparently say they 'feel like they are pounced on in the high street stores, whereas in here they feel like they can ask questions and get lots of help without felling pressured.'
To combat an already swamped market, Sainsburys have launched a number of aggressive deals including the Samsung Galaxy S4 on a 24 month contract with O2, including 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of data for £32 a month.
2,500 Nector points will also be dealt out to customers signing a contract with them, giving more incentive for people to use the services.
The retailer has also finalised a deal with Apple to supply the iPhone later this summer alongside networks such as O2, Three, Orange T-Mobile and Vodaphone. Their Airtime is being supplied by A1 Comms and handsets and accessories from 20:20 Mobile.
