Capcom has just released Street Fighter IV Volt on the App Store for iPhone and iPod Touch.
Volt is a separate title from the previously released Street Fighter IV on iOS, despite it being almost the same game. However, Volt's headline new feature is online multiplayer, letting you now take the fight to other players globally.
It also adds three characters to the roster that aren't in the original version; Balrog, Vega and Cody.
Cool, but we find it rather cheeky that those who already purchased the original have to buy the whole game again to get access to a new menu screen option and three characters.
Capcom says that SFIV Volt "perfects the acclaimed iOS fighting game". We say it should have been an update, but this isn't the only bad decision Capcom has made recently (cough *irreversible save files* cough). It's like they're trying to piss off fans.
Luckily though, if you grab it today it'll only cost you pennies (99 cents in US). But that price will increase by a dollar each day from now to July 6, when it will reach its full and fixed price of $6.99.
