As Samsung prepares to launch the Galaxy S4 in 50 countries at the end of April, DigiTimes reports that shipments are expected to reach 10 million in the first month.
Sources told the site that this sales figure with increase to 30 million in Q2 2013 as the penetration rate of smartphones continues to grow.
Samsung is currently the leading brand in the smartphone market and cooperates with 327 telecom carriers around the world.
The Galaxy S4 has a 5-inch screen, 13MP rear camera, and comes with eye recognition and gesturing technology.
Last month PCR reported that 25 per cent of UK iPhone users are considering ditching their Apple smartphone for Samsung’s new Galaxy S4.
