Universal Music teams with Moderati to create Romplr 'interactive music platform'.
The initial Soulja Boy Tell ’Em Romplr allows people to create their own mixes from three of Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em’s tracks – Crank That, Hey You There and Turn My Swag On.
In addition to core song elements from the Interscope Geffen A&M (IGA) artist, the Romplr will feature seven additional samples, and enable users to record and share mixes through Facebook Connect, email or on Romplr.com.
The Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em Romplr is available on iTunes for $4.99.
Also being launched today by Moderati is Romplr Dance, which contains three original tracks. Romplr will also be extended to other platforms such Blackberry, Android, Java and Ovi.
Ted Mico, IGA’s Executive VP of Digital, said: “The Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em Romplr application allows us to create a unique experience for the fans and the hip-hop community, and we look forward to working with Moderati to expand this program even further in the coming months.”
