After announcing its flagship Xperia Z smartphone at CES, Sony has unveiled a new tablet sharing some of the features of its smaller counterpart.
Sony’s new super-slim, 6.9mm thick tablet is both waterproof and dust-proof, just like the smartphone, and shares the same design scheme as well.
The Sony Xperia Z tablet has a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 screen, Android 4.1, Qualcomm 1.5GHz quad-core APQ8064 processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB of storage.
Supporting both NFC and LTE, the tablet comes with an 8.1MP Exmor R camera with (according to Sony) the first ever backside illuminated sensor to be put in a tablet.
At 6.9mm thick and weight just 945g, the Xperia Z seems to be the thinnest tablet made so far, beating the iPad mini by around 3mm. http://www.pcr-online.biz/news/read/...-tablet/030050
