The system is compatible with iOS and Android, however Android users benefit from an enhanced App Remote technology, which lets the driver use voice commands to control apps and functions such as navigation, music playback, notification readouts plus more.
Andrew Sivori, VP of the sound division at Sony Electronics, said: "With the enhanced Sony-exclusive App Remote technology now featuring a voice UI, the new XAV-602BT entertainment system makes smartphone access and control even more convenient and seamless in the car."
The XAV-602BT also includes high quality video playback, a DVD player, integrated Bluetooth and USB connectivity for Walkman, iPod, iPhone, Android and BlackBerry plus other connectable devices.
In addition, the SiriusXM can be used with the system, which a provides more commercial-free music, sport talk, comedy, and other exclusive programs.
