Sony is rumoured to be working on the Sony Honami Mini - an even smaller version of the slim Xperia i1 smartphone which is set to be revealed on September 4th at IFA in Berlin. Techradar reports the Honami Mini could sport a 4.3-inch 720p display, 2.2GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, a microSD slot, 20.7MP camera and 2400mAh battery.
To make naming matters more confusing, the Sony Xperia i1 was previously known as the Sony Honami, but the potential Sony Honami Mini is also now being referred to as codename Ray 3.
These phones would be the latest in Sony's Xperia line, which includes the Z smartphone, Z tablet and accessories.
The Sony Honami Mini would go head-to-head with other mini versions of smartphones including the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini and the HTC One Mini.
Meanwhile, Apple is said to be working on the iPhone 6 and 5S.
