Ad platform NativeX will sell the advertising as part of its network offering.
NativeX has partnered with Sega of America and Sega of Europe to further the reach of its Native mobile Advertising network around the world.
The ad technology will be integrated into Sonic Dash - previous ME App of the Day - where NativeX will sell the advertising space as part of its network offer.
The technology includes multiple native ad formats such as interstitial, banner, offer wall, rich media and HD video – all of which merge with the game’s user experience seamlessly, in one software development kit.
Mike Evans, senior director of digital marketing at Sega, said: “Creating an amazing gaming experience for our customers is our top priority. NativeX truly understands the challenges of protecting the user experience while monetising through advertising.”
More than 20,000 new apps and games are added to the App Store each day, meaning users are increasingly turning to recognised companies and developers such as Sega, and putting trust in them not to flood their software with ads.
The partnership with NativeX will enable Sega to earn revenue from ads whilst living up to the users expectations and maintaining a decent user experience.
