The hugely-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S4 was finally unveiled to the world last week, and early benchmark results reveal that the handset is already powering ahead of its rivals in terms of performance.
Benchmark figures calculated using Geekbench 2, which measures the processor and memory performance of devices, shows that Samsung’s new flagship is far more powerful than the HTC One, iPhone 5, BlackBerry Z10 and its predecessor, the Galaxy S 3.
Yet, despite its premium specs and raft of new features, the Galaxy S4 has seen only a few minor tweaks to its design (which follows on from the Galaxy S 3), and this has led to a bout of criticism, particularly from rival smartphone manufacturers.
But will Samsung’s latest offering have what it takes to reach the same level of success achieved by the multi-million selling Galaxy S 3?
