Apple certainly loves exclusive deals. Such may once again be the case if a new report out this morning from DigiTimes proves correct. According to information gathered by the publication, a Taiwan-based firm has been tapped to be the exclusive provider of camera lens modules for the iPad 2, which may be ready for mass-market roll out as early as March 2011.
Largan Precision - the supposed camera lens provider in question - isn't dishing many details for now. Largan, however, is believed to be the supplier of the 5-megapixel lens modules for the iPhone 4. While some are assuming that the same camera lens module from the latest iPhone will similarly find a home on the second generation iPad, there is no concrete evidence to suggest how many megapixels the rumored iPad camera will sport.
