Finnish mobile phone giant Nokia has announced that it's to launch a silver version of the N-Gage QD game deck this autumn across the EMEA territories - Europe, the middle East and Africa.
The new version of the hardware, which will be launched on September 1st in the various markets, is the first update to the N-Gage QD since it launched in mid-2004 - less than nine months after the launch of the first N-Gage.
"We have had a lot of requests from both consumers and trade to provide an N-Gage QD variant," according to Nokia's global sales director for the games business, Jukka Hosio. "We chose silver as it's one of the season's most fashionable colours."
Although it's largely disappeared off the radar for most game news outlets, Nokia also continues to support the N-Gage with a wide range of software releases - including titles such as ONE, System Rush, High Seize and Pathway To Glory Ikusa Islands.
