Leaked documents suggest Nokia will sell off its devices and services business to Microsoft by 25th April.
Documents found by NokiaPowerUser are sent by Nokia, addressing its device and service business suppliers, according to Mashable.
It states that the name of Nokia Corporation / Nokia Oyi will change to Microsoft Mobile Oy. The sale is expected to be finalised by 25th April.
The Finnish company assures its partners that all current agreements will remain in place under the new name.
It stated: “Under the new terms of sale, Microsoft will assume all rights, benefits and obligations of the Nokia Devices and Services business… The current terms and conditions that you have with the Devices and Services business will not change.” Nokia’s mobile business was acquired by the US company back in November for $7.2 billion, however there was no previous mention of a name change.
