600,000 mobile gamers have signed up since October.
The N-Gage Arena mobile games community now has one million members, up from 400,000 in October.
Reuters reports on the landmark, which Nokia attributes to the fact it has been embedding the N-Gage service in new handsets, thus boosting end-user uptake.
Yesterday Nokia said it won't be making its N-Gage games service available to owners of its popular N73 handset.
And earlier this month the company intimated it would be keeping N-Gage service separate from its Ovi app store for the foreseeable future.
