Nesoid, Snesoid, Gensoid, N64oid, Ataroid, Gearoid and Gameboid taken down as developer's privileges also nixed
Google has removed a series of console emulators by developer Yong Zhang from the Android Market, while also revoking his developer privileges.
The apps include Nesoid, Snesoid, Gensoid, N64oid, Ataroid, Gearoid and Gameboid, some of which had been riding high in the Android Market charts for months as paid apps.
According to Engadget, Zhang says that he received no warning about the takedowns, which are likely to have been the result of complaints from the makers of the original consoles or other rightsholders.
He has now made the apps available for free through the non-Google Android store SlideME.
