What a bumper week it's been for gamers who like playing games on their mobile phones that are about sport or quizzes.
First up there's Who Wants to Be A Millionaire? 2nd Edition from Glu Mobile. It features new questions and enhanced graphics, and for the first time you'll be able to take part in the "fastest finger first" round. The faster you answer questions, the higher you'll score - and you can upload your scores online to show other people who care about this sort of thing how clever you are.
If you're the type of gamer who doesn't like quizzes, or perhaps doesn't mind quizzes, but prefers sport, you might like to try sports game FIFA Street 2 from EA. Apparently the mobile version "captures the look and feel of the console product", which sounds nice.
You can pull off all sorts of exciting moves, from passes and sprints to flips and spins, though possibly not headbutts. There's a Quick Play mode for, well, you know, plus a Rule the Street mode. FIFA Street 2 mobile is out by the end of the month.
If you're the type of gamer who prefers quizzes to sports, but doesn't like football, how about Michael Vaughan's Cricket 06/07 from Player One? It's got seven field settings based on Vaughan's successful Ashes campaign, new fielding run-outs and a 3D isometric fielding view.
Eight national teams and venues are featured, and there are eight batting shots and 12 bowling manoeuvres to choose from. You can also take your pick from more than 100 players, each with stats based on those belonging to the world's top cricketers. Michael Vaughan's Cricket 06/07 is out now.
And that's not all Player One has got lined up - there's also retro classic Nebulus, which features eight levels of shooting fun, and casual gaming title Reactor Pinball.
Neither of those are about quizzes or sport of course, but there's always World Pool Championship, which features top players such as Earl 'The Pearl' Strickland, Johnny 'The Scorpion' Archer and Steve Davis. You can expect 3D playing environments, championship and single play modes, plus a two player mode. Nebulus, Reactor Pinball and World Pool Championship are available now.
