Microsoft reportedly working on touch-enabled smart watch

Executives at suppliers have told WSJ that Microsoft is working on designs for a touch-enabled watch.
Speaking anonymously, the executives claim that earlier this year, Microsoft asked suppliers in Asia to ship components for a potential watch-style device.
One source said he met with Microsoft’s research and development team at its Redmond HQ, saying it is currently unclear whether the firm will opt to move ahead with the device.
If Microsoft does decide to go ahead with the smart watch, it will join the likes of Apple, Samsung and Google, who are all rumoured to be creating the wearable technology.
Back in February it was reported that Apple had filed a new patent for a device strongly resembling it firm’s highly rumoured iWatch device.
A month later Samsung Mobile’s vice president revealed that the firm has been preparing a watch product for some time.
Just a few days later after the Samsung news, The Financial Times reported that Google’s Android unit is developing a smart watch.
