In a marketplace where the likes of Apple's iPad retails at $499, the Kindle Fire costs just $199, which has become the key USP for the device. Presumably that's why the device is expected to sell five million units by 2012.
In September, we reported tablet shipments for the year, which predicted Apple would ship 39.2 million units, Samsung would ship seven million and RIM would ship 1.5 million.
