One of the selling points of the iPhone 5S is its longer battery life, however due to a manufacturing defect, some models lose power faster.
Apple has not specified how many devices they reckon have been affected, however a state released by the company indicate that at least a couple of thousand phones are suffering.
This is not the first time the company has faced issues with iPhone batteries, the launch of the iPhone 5 was delayed due to faulty batteries. Only 30 per cent actually met the required standards.
Teresa Brewer, a spokeswoman for Apple, said: “We are reaching out to customers with affected phones and will provide them with a replacement phone.
