Apple's third generation iPad will launch in November this year with an upgraded screen similar to the iPhone 4's high resolution Retina display.
That's according to a new China Times report, which Business Insider claims tallies with what they know of the iPad 3.
Apple's new tablet will be an incremental upgrade to the iPad 2. Apart from a shiny new screen, its innards will be the same. Will it be called iPad 3 or iPad 2 HD?
The report adds yet more weight behind speculation the iPhone 5 launches in September. Like the iPad, the new iPhone iteration "closely resembles" its predecessor and will not feature any major upgrades from the iPhone 4.
The report suggests iPad 3 was originally due to launch in September, alongside the iPhone 5. The delay until November is a result of Apple struggling to amass iPad components.
Apple sold 9.25 million iPads and 20.34 million iPhones in the last three months, according to the company's latest financial report.
