Finally running on Windows Phone 8 – and it’s real.
Instagram has finally come to Nokia, entering onto the Lumia devices in the UK.
Only a few months ago a faux-instagram app called 6-tag, which included features similar to the photo sharing platform became available for Windows phone.
The main concern with the French-based app, was that information entered into it, was not being encrypted, and details such as usernames and authentication tokens were being sent back to its home server in France.
The recently released version however, is the real deal, and Nokia Lumia owners can now benefit from all much-loved features of Instagram.
The difference is, Windows Phone users will also benefit from Live Tiles, lock screen notifications, and support for fast-resume along with the well known features.
In related news, large brands such as Mercedes Benz, MTV and Nike have reported receiving high engagement rates when using Instagram.
The app is avaible now for free from the Windows Phone store.
