Recent hacking advancements by groups such as Lulz Security (LulzSec) and Anonymous have caused a lot of stir in the news around the world. Companies such as MasterCard, Sony, and others have been primary targets for the AntiSec campaign that is on the loose and the damage that has come about is drastic. Personal information is at stake along with other important documents that house plans for major company's strategies and "next moves." The Wall Street Journal reports that the hacker's latest target was Apple Inc.
According to the source, the hackers got a hold of usernames and passwords directly off the Apple server due to a security flaw. The document that was released contained over 26 administrative username and password combinations. Although small in comparison to previous attacks, the hackers have stated that "they are busy elsewhere." The question is, who is the next target? Government agencies, corporations, and even private companies have been targets for this group so one can never know where they will strike next. In response to the hacking of Apple, no respective spokesperson made any comment about the situation.
