Not another run of the mill Android-powered device, but an Android handset actually built by the web giant
The interweb is alive with rumours that Google is working on its own Android mega-phone, which could see the light of day early next year.
There's lots of conjecture, but the source of the latest rumour was TechCrunch, which reported yesterday that the device is in development as Google seeks to create the ultimate incarnation of everything Android.
In terms of manufacturing partners for Google, the favourite appears to be LG, with the device expected to be made available on a direct-to-consumer basis (i.e. no operator exclusivity).
