St John’s Church in Mickleover has decided to replace hymn books with Android tablets, further proving that God does not like Apples. The Register reports that the C of E congregation, the first of its kind to replace hymn books with tablets, were donated Archos tablets by The Cloud – a BSkyB company which provides Wi-Fi for the church’s on-site internet café.
"A couple of members of the congregation have used their own devices during Sunday service before," said the church.
Connected by desktop sharing software, each tablet follows the service taking place on the church’s projection screen.
