Publisher cites connection and lag time issues for game's removal
EA has pulled The Simpsons: Tapped Out from the App store after connection and lag issues blighted the game early on.
The publisher claimed that after an “overwhelmingly positive” response to the title, it had been forced to take the game down in an effort to fix the issues.
It said current customers would be able to carry on playing the game whilst changes are made.
“To make sure you current players have the best possible experience, we’ve temporarily removed The Simpsons: Tapped Out from the App Store,” read a statement on the app’s Facebook page.
“Yes, as a current player you can keep playing – and things should only get better as we make improvements to connectivity. Once we have a solution, we’ll return the game to the App Store so new players can join in the fun. Meanwhile, thank you for your patience and support.”
