Fresh rumours arise around Apple increasing the size of iPhone screens
Weird and wonderful predictions and rumours are always rearing their head concerning the future of Apple and what wizardry it will unveil next. Seemingly, these supposed fairy-tales end up being quite close to the mark.
On this occasion there are a few little titbits that have had us pricking up our ears - firstly a potential increase in size of the iPhone screen.
Apple has already moved away from the iPhone's longstanding display size of 3.5-inches featured on the 3G, 3GS, 4 and 4S and boosted it to four-inches on the iPhone 5. However, Apple is now apparently looking to introduce a 4.7-inch screened model and even a 5.7-inch one, according to Reuters, but it's unclear as to whether the company will actually pursue this Chinese whisper.
With the screen size in mind, if anything is to come of it then this could suggest that Apple may be slyly edging towards the world of the 'phablet'. The larger-than-life smartphones have been explored by rival companies – most notably Samsung – but Apple has steered well clear so far.
Only time will tell if any of this will come into fruition, and if it does only then will we know if this is a good move or a technical 'scrape-of-the-barrel' for the iPhone.
