The Carphone Warehouse and Vodafone have both reduced pricing on the new Blackberry z10 less than a month after it was launched.
According to the Telegraph, Carphone Warehouse has cut the overall contract price of the device by £160, while Vodafone has cut £72 from the contract.
The move comes despite solid reviews for both the device itself and the operating system, which has garnered praise and led many to dub it ‘the device that will save Blackberry’.
Pacific Crest analyst, James Faucette told the Telegraph: “We believe that meaningful price cuts so soon after launch, while probably at the initial discretion of the carriers, is likely to relegate the Z10 to being a mid-tier device with very low gross margins.”
