Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation to receive 1,800 Z10 devices for its staff.
BlackBerry has inked an agreement to supply staff at the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust with 1,800 Z10 smartphones.
The BlackBerry Z10 devices will be delivered to the mental health trust throughout the year, with 700 arriving during April and May, and a further 1,000 to be rolled out in the second half of 2013.
Stephen Asante-Boakye, head of technical services at BSMHFT, commented: “BlackBerry has been our mobile enterprise solution of choice for a number of years and we’re committed to a full-scale BlackBerry 10 deployment.
“The combination of BlackBerry’s tried and trusted security and manageability with the new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone gives us confidence that we can continue to deliver a best-in class mobile enterprise experience, which ultimately enables the delivery of a better service to our patients.”
According to BlackBerry, there are currently more than 100 UK public and private sector firms trialling BlackBerry 10. These include BT, the Co-operative Group and Aviva.
