Mountain Lion is the most successful OS X release in Apple’s history.
“Just a year after the incredibly successful introduction of Lion, customers have downloaded Mountain Lion over three million times in just four days, making it our most successful release ever,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.
The price tag proved appealing to consumers, especially those looking to upgrade. Users with Lion or Snow Leopard can upgrade to Mountain Lion by downloading it through the Mac App Store for just $19.99.
Mountain Lion boasts over 200 new features including iCloud integration, AirPlay Mirroring, system-wide sharing, and eventually Facebook Integration – which will become available in an upcoming update to the software
